So beautiful. For curiosity what´s your name?

    Great job :)

  • You sound so great. ah I sound like a broken record when i comment on all of your videos, but it's true! I love this piece<3 I almost started it, but after playing Suite Hebraique and Glinka Sonata in d minor I wanted something a little more contrasting, fun, and happy sounding, so I went with the Hoffmeister :p

  • Very well played and simply beautiful! Im learning this, can you give me any tips? :) this is an amazing performance! well done :D x

  • congrats ;)

I guess that now you play it better :D

  • you are awesome!! what school are you studying at?

  • is this possible to learn in 4 weeks? i have a performance in viola audition to university of toronto!!! oy

  • Brava!!! Complimenti!!!

  • bellissimo!

  • Beautiful!!! i'm learning this piece right now; it's soo pretty and you really do it justice. awesome phrasing and interpretation too.

  • Beautifully played - some really lovely phrasing. I love this piece & you do it great justice. You look like you really love this work. I love some of your bowings (more sensible than the publisher's - LOL) and those brief rests - so effective. But don't rush some of those passages; take your time, take COMMAND! eg Make those long 16th+ note passages (3:40) really "sweeping"; the viola sings here too! You've got the makings of a really fine violist. All the very best for a bright future!

  • very nice!!!!!!!

    I love it.

  • I'm just about ready to play this for my freshman recital. This is beautiful! Great job!

  • Hey! This is really wonderful playing! You have such a nice sound! Nice job! BRAVO ! :D

  • I just love the beginning :)

  • amazing.. love this piece too

  • This video is awesome :D I loved your sound :)

  • This video is awesome :D I loved your sound :)

  • You are very good but lacking in emotion. Although your playing was pretty flawless (there were a few minor intonation issues) I thought that you played the piece far too fast and too jerkily. This piece is supposed to be very tender. It was too spirited and not romantic enough.

This is not to say that it wasn't extremely good. Your sound is very beautiful and mature. But for me, I really didn't feel the tender, loving, and beautiful emotion that this piece is supposed to induce.

  • todo bello, mi parte favorita del bruch, aunque hay momentos que debiste bajar el tempo..... y tu bella tambien...bravo

  • You play so wonderfully. And you have a very nice viola :-)

Wish I could play as well as you do some day. I like to watch your videos for motivation. Thank you violamad.

  • I thought you did a beautiful job on the Romance. Keep it up! I just finished playing it for string juries. I love the piece. Which college are you attending?

  • thanks for posting, I love this piece and am planning on playing this next year. (I might look at this video as a referance for bowings if you don't mind)

  • how long have u been playing? have u taken private lessons?

  • You`re amazing!! I love your sound! :D

  • TUp!

Wonderful rendition! Applause! Your viola's sound is fantastic.

  • aah i´ve played this peace :D nice!

  • to whoever is grilling this girl about interpretation/intonation .. u should SHUT UP. cuz ithink she sounds great, and shes clearly a student anyway and music is always a work in progress!!

    great job !

  • Congratulations, not bad! I suggest you to try to play from memory. Then you could more concentrate on sound production and musicality. By the way, intonation is never too good ;) Good luck.

  • I really would like some fingerings for this piece..

  • sounds great! I found this online and sightread (skipped the runs of course haha)

  • OMG. I love you!!!

  • You sound really good!!

    VIola rocks! :D

  • Not only were your double stops flawless, i think you have a really good fourth-finger vibrato. It's so difficult for me, well done!

I'm a senior in high school now, and you're definitely my idol :)

  • I love your double stops! i also applaud you for your movement!! Not alot of people in my age group move as they play, but you understand the music so well and I really feel like you're telling a story with your performance as opposed to just trying to get through the piece. Bravo!

  • You are worthy to be a professional. Your tone is wonderful!

  • wow! I've only sightread this horribly...you're really amazing

  • Hi, I really liked your performance of this :)

Just wondering, but are you going to music conservatory for college?

Hope to hear more of your playing! :)

  • You are very goood!!

  • My favorite work for viola... bravo

  • This is soo beautiful!!! I Love your tone! It's so deep and strong! If you don't become a proffessional violist i will cry!! Nice job!!

  • Your so lucky you can play the viola... I wish I could or even had the chance to, but they are just to expensive for me

  • yes, I'm going to be in the symphony this year :)

  • While playing the piece I think you got more and more romantic feelings ;-) In the beginning it seems to be funny. Very nice performance. Max Bruch maybe would have said in german language: Passt scho' ;-)

  • beautiful sound and playing !! bravo

  • I think it's to fast and played in metronome time... then it has to be more intimate,,, pay attention to intonation too,,,

  • your so amazing

  • Are you in the houston youth symphony? You look like and sound like the principal violist there.

  • im been playing guitar for 3 years now , would it be to hard to make a jump to violin

  • Yes, it's completely different in every way possible.

  • 1.) you mean viola, right?

2.) Depends on how good you are. The theory translates over. I was able to jup from viola to guitar with 0 problem but Ive been playing considerably longer than you

  • great job! you sound really good! i gotta say i kinda like it better with just piano rather than the whole orchestra. it adds to the vulnerability and sweetness of it all

  • I'm doing this piece right now but... ^^" u rok, i'm suking so far

  • I know this may sound selfish, but I love how you play your viola and I was wondering if you could play Ave Maria if you haven't done so

  • you're amazing =) are you going to study music in college?

  • yes I will be a viola performance major :)

  • out of curiosity, how old are you??

  • senior in high school, graduating in 6 days! :)

  • you are really good for your age, where are you going to study after high school?

  • dont you mean very good in general?

  • que bella esta Romanza! (*,*), que buena interpretación! felicidades =)

  • lovely dress as well!

  • thank you so much for sharing. one of my favorites and you did a GREAT job!! by the way - whats the name and size of the viola (builder?) sounds so beautiful.

  • This is so beautiful. You have a lovely tone and excellent poise. All the best to you!

  • That is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!

  • I was going to ask you if you could play this and post it. Your double stops and runs are flawless! I'm playing this in June with my orchestra and I envy how easy you make everything seem. Any advice for the part right before F? I keep getting excited when I get to that part and mess up like no other... :( I'm glad to see how much you've improved. Keep it up!

  • How we love Bruch for composing this piece.

You set a wonderful example to fellow violists, i'm sure - thank you so much for this recording :)

  • Nice ;) I played this amazing song with my Symphonic orchestra and I have to say that song is really the cutest I ever played <3 :)

So, I'm waiting for a live performance in France, my country :P

See you and keep the great work,

    Sébastien from France

  • Lovely playing & ur hair looks sooo pretty :)

  • Brava!!

    This rendition touches my soul.!

    Antonio

  • amazing!!!!! This gives me lots of hope that I would become good too!

  • Absolutely beautiful! I wish I could get my double-stops to be as smooth as yours, haha.
