@swolen4 Have fun going 70 on the ski you dropped $11-13k on...while I blow past you at 76 (GPS'd) on a 2000 GP1200R...I could tweak it to 80+ but I don't want to sacrifice reliability, plus I like the holeshot and making fools on new 4 strokes look foolish...like I said before, anyone can buy speed off the showroom, but true mechanics can build it, not having to drop enough cash to buy a Chevy Aveo...but at least you're a Yamaha guy
@TheMsSnowman once again I say I outran one of these with my Rxpx I have yet to be beaten by a stock yamaha just because its 270 hp does'nt mean anything.
Oh you four strokers...My GP1200R, bored to 1390 with pump mods...kills any Doo or even the new Yami's off the line...and since new 4 strokes are governed at 65 ( I think)...I pull away from them all day. A good modded GPR (1200 or 1300) that has been modded and set up right will kill any of the new 4 strokes..Hell I have an old GP1200R with only pump mods (intake grate, ride plate, D plate) that will still hang with the Doos..anyone can but speed, but only few can build it!
@swolen4 I spent $2,500 on my GP....about $3,000 in mods...so I spent $5,500 for a ski that will stomp all comers. There are guys that can get stock GPRs to 66 mph with just the right ride plate and impeller...best hull of all time. Why do you think all the guys at the Hydro-Drags/Mudbug Nationals drop RXP or other 4 stroke engines into GPR hulls...look it up, they call them GPRXPs...b/c the GPR hull is far and away the best hull for speed.
Seadoo invented the Jet skit in 1968 and they still are pretty much the best you can get for a PWC and usually the other brands are playing catch up. But I would buy a Yamaha as well they make great marine products tooo...
ive raced my fzr with a sea doo and i striaght up raped the sea doo idc what this vid says fzr will blow that sea doo outa the water+ wen i got the engine to 500hp omg that things rocks.
I ride and sell all four brands, i wouldnt say seadoo shits on all of them. The ultra is much faster in the rough, the fzr has alot more power potential. The hondas suck. The rxpx is a great ski but a little outdated. I just switched from an rxpx to an fzr and dont regret it at all. the fzr has crazy potential
