@NDstephan The same argument can be made for stolen cars. It is only property theft and dangers arise because the thieves have to associate with dangerous criminals.

The cars go to terrorists and if the government bought back the cars it could be resold with taxes. Without that criminal record the thief wouldn't have to steal as many cars and they could get a real job instead.

It is not in the public's best interest to harbor domestic criminals. This is all just wishful thinking.

Any and everyone claiming marijauna has medical uses is basing it on fairy tales. These trials are yet to be replicated, the final step in science has not even been completed.

Whilst I agree with you to a certain extent, alot of your conclusions rely on a reduction of hard drug use, of which we have little evidence for, Amsterdam for example has tolerance for soft drugs and yet still has a problem with hard drugs. Not to mention legalisation of recreational marijuana would increase cases of serious mental illness.

@Seraphimsfall Amsterdam has less punishment for crimes in general. They are a completely different country with a unique culture. Marijuana is not a major difference between the two countries, there are a million other reasons why they have differing issues than the US.
