Reiki can not hurt, it can only heal. Reiki is universal healing energy. Nothing else. This video does seem interesting, but anyone who teaches that Reiki can hurt is ill informed on what Reiki is.

It saddens me so much ignorance exists about Reiki. The time has come for all cognizant beings to recognize our birth right, which is to Heal and to Worship. All other things are delusioal paths of self deceit.

I love Reiki. I have currently gone through some rough times which has bought up a lot of negative experiances from the past. When going through this I started to meditate for an answer. The very next day I meet my teacher who performed Reiki on me. It has cured me both mentally and physically. I strongly recomend Reiki for anyone and everyone.

I would google it. Sometimes wellness shops or new age stores have cards and ads for reiki masters. make sure you have a good feel for your instructor. don't get a class over the internet or something. and one time i knew a gal who lost a lot of intuition becoming a reiki practitioner. but for the most part it is harmless and has a lot of potential to do a lot of good. i don't teach any more, but depending where you are i may be able to help you find someone by interviewing them for you

Reiki does wonders and can be observed. But I have problem with some of the definitions. There cannot be a way of life until the source of life has role in prescribing the way of life. There cannot be any Way and Wisdom until the Infinite Wise installs in it. Without considering the Supernatural role of God, though Reiki and alike may work at physical level, they will miserably fail to achieve the Spiritual level, which is the Crown Chakra of Reiki. Thus, there cannot be a Reiki atheist.

reiki is not the name of the energy produced by a living body. Reiki means something like "universal energy". Reiki is a free energy that's everywhere, energy from god or whatever you want to call it. The reiki master is only the channel to pass that energy to other people use it himself to be healthy. You are absolutely right. What the video shows is truely a artistic way of admiring this great universal energy. If used along with the mantras related to each chakra and if the true colours, the resident deities, the amount of petals (as each chakra is depicted as lotus shaped according to Indian vedic sciences) each chakra has and whether it is earth, air, water or ether etc based, you can charge each chakra to the extent that each can give out enough energy to heal any ailment.

Not sure what is so scary or offputting to you about Reiki, but as my 17 year old grandson, whom I attuned, said "It is the closest thing to real magic I have ever seen." I don't pretend to know everything about Reiki, but the fact that I can do an attunement and "change" someone says something. Sometimes it might be oversold as the answer to everything. I don't believe it is, but it is far more than a simple relaxation technique.

I think you underestimate the power of relaxation and stress. It leads to several problems, mental/physical. There is nothing scary about Reiki to me except that it miseducates its practioners with several claims that are easily shown to be untrue.

The one that is most patently false is the ability of the practitioner to 'feel' the presence of the person beneath them.

I am a member of a medical school faculty, familiar with the scientific method. Some things cannot be proved using it. Doing Reiki I have connected on a soul level with the person I am treating. I think it requires connecting on the soul level with yourself first. I often "get" what that person is dealing with. I can feel the emotions in their bodies, at times. Before Reiki was mechanical. I did not pick up anything. Now it is very different.

Believing something to be true is very different than it actually being true. That is the reason doctors no longer promote smoking as they once did 50 years ago. Not to say that Reiki causes cancer of course, but saying something is true simply because it feels right is the same justification for all blunders that have been committed in society.

However, the reason all those witches was burned had to do with fear and power, the same reason that we are so easily manipulated by the terrorism argument now. Luckily, omagining has nothing to do with it. Reported in the Journal of American Medical Association, as reported by CNN, easily verifiable at home. (search Emily Rosa). Again, in your case, a subjective impression of warmth is not the same as an objective study.

Well, many sources list between 9 and 11 million women killed during the witch trials in Europe over the dark ages. Some consecutive estimates place it in the hundreds of thousands.

I was tought that reiki is not passing trough energy from the body but to use your body to pass the 'universal-energy' and the earth's energy trough hands on to someone. I'm a level 1 keiki partitioner, it has made me do some good things. It really was a kind of benchmark. I feel more awaken and clear.
