Aug 8, 2009: Plymouth, MN Tornado

omg i was driving home from camping and the FUNEL was right up top of the road i was on i saw lightning striking outa it like a real tornado it was scary and i saw a biker(Motorcycle)

I lived right off of 494 and 55 when this happened. I didn't realize how close it was until I seen this video. Crazy. We've been gettin hammered by storms this year (2010) and last year.

I remember this! That thing was HUGE! I remember seeing it come down. It was rotating so fast and it all happened so fast! Nearly hit the front of my house. Thank God it just missed to the south of us.

This was practically in my backyard.. west on CR 6 from HWY 101. It was the scariest thing ever.

That tornado was in my back yaed! Luckily, it didn't do any damage, but my mom wouldn't look at the damn window when i was pointing to it!

yep i was at my house that night in western wisconsin and i was watching this storm on WCCO news and later on when it moved into wisconsin we were in a tornado warning as well. it was our only tornado warning of the season for us. u guys get it bad over there by minneapolis. take it easy guys.

Nice work on this one. A group of us were on the NW side of that cell, and got some great lightning shots from it. Unfortunately we were too far north to see this tornado, but the way some of the clouds looked up near Elk River made us decide to stick around up in that area in case something else dropped. Congrats again.

I live off of cr 9, sirens were going off and it was just an amazing storm! I was chasing it when I was on 694 and 252. Just awesome

I was at the best western at 494 and 55 and watched the funnel right over us, neat..when I look back at the event I should have been inside and taking cover but it was so much fun to just be outside and in it.
