I'm singing this in one of my two choir classes. You guys did actually very well i think. Better than the group i heard do it three years ago, the only thing i notice was that a couple chords were top heavy, but that happens in a lot of choirs (including mine) so i understand.

you guys did great!!! my advanced chior is singing this!! its our compitition music!! you did great but some of the words sounded smooshed together, reading the coment by LenyaLeaf i understand thta it is ur first consert, we had that same problem on our first one too, just telling u for future referance ;)
I am just wondering, are you guys a varsity choir in high school?? Because if you are I just want to say that i saw a lots of girls in the choir moving and smacking each other. And I am not trying to brag but I am in a cappella choir at a junior high school, and we did better on this song. Sorry to harsh your mellow, but it is just the truth.
We did this song...I am soooooo sorry. I think you guys may have hated it as much as we did. The reoccuring joke is that "I told Johnny NO!!" And we go on and on.
Wow, you guys did a great job! As for improvements, I would just agree with the last comment- work on taller vowels with the higher notes. But man, my choir is working on this now, and I LOOOVE this song!!! You guys made it sound so great, you especially got the right speed... I wouldn't have wanted it any faster, or it would sound rushed, like some of the other vids here do in my opinion. Thanks for a great mentor recording!!!
You guys did pretty good, especially since it was prob the first concert of the year...Although better (taller) vowels would have been nice. And some of the high notes were a little iffy (but that could have just been the recording) It was still pretty good though!
@Brittany2049 there a fucking high school choir jesus give them some slack i would like to see youtry to get on a stage in front of a hundered people and try to sing as good as they did
my choir did this song last year and they did amazing (gig harbor meisters) you should check them out and i also have to say that you girls did an amazing job and the sound on the video just makes it sound weird but if you were there in person it woukd take your breathe away

But honestly, going around telling people they aren't as good is fact (because someone is always better somewhere) but its not very appreciated... and I really don't mind, but someday someone will care... and just plain saying, "you're not good enough" isn't going to get you anywhere fast, and that's a guarantee.
As much as I appreciate suggestions, they seem more like criticism than anything. This was the first performance we ever did as a choir, and the worst out of our three songs, I'll admit. I encourage you to watch the other videos of songs we performed Spring 2010. By that time, we were able to compete in Disneyland and this choir acheived first place, with a superior. We got three 1-'s at region, barely missing our chances at state. Please remember that things *always* sound worse on a recording.
i feel that one side is faster than the other side. And in every piece there are parts that weave together but NO NO NO I'm sorry to say, you all dont have that. And when you try to hit notes that you dont have then it just doesn't sound good. I also felt that vowels was not important to you all. It mostly sounded like you all didnt care about this piece. For future performances, try to put some emotion in it and some feeling and trust me!
INTERACT!!! this is so good but it would be so much better if it looked like you like to sing. I was bored watching this. My choir is singing this song for our advanced womans choir and we interact and tell the story. not so its over the top but so the audience will not be bored like i was watching this.

ah my choir almost sang this song...
our director cut it out do to time between when we recived our music and the concert. I wish we sang it (now that I know what it sounds like)!

And that chord on the 'but...' always sounds lousy to me. I can't stand it, I always get the shivers when my chior sings it.
