  • im beginning to suspect that you have "BzB :-)" on copy and paste... jk

  • SOUTH OF THE BORDER? HAHA THAT SOUNDED A BIT RACIST!!

  • kool

  • your beats are sexy

  • All singles! Spice it up with some crazy doubles and triples next time bra! Peace out from Hawaii

  • that was awsome

  • Fisher Price my first salsa beat!!!! You suck!!!!!!

  • @HATEJesusNavins Just a couple of notes here. First, I visited your channel and you have no drum vids of your own. Then I noticed that you really dont have any vids. Then I noticed that the only vid you are posting is from someone else...and it is a Kareoke vid from one of the lamest songs to ever come out of the 80's. Then I think to myeself, what business do you have being a drum critic. The answer...NONE!!! BzB :-)

  • @bazybeats Man you smacked him good.....what a jerk he was....I'm am no critic either, but man your drumming sounds like an eargasm......INCREDIBLE (and you're hot to boot :)

  • @HATEJesusNavins IDIOT!!!!

  • goood job. but as i see this i cant help but complain the constant hi hat after the solos gets really annoying

  • Hmm...after reviewing this again after some time of not seeing it myself...I would have to completely dissagree with you. It is not constant as you had said...still...thanks for the comment. BzB :-)

  • woah!.. what a lousy drummer!

  • dont you get tired???? jajaja you are great

  • Thanks for taking time to write. BzB :-)

  • isnt that the sex and the city theme tune?

  • kinda sounds like it.....

  • holy thats awesome!

  • Thanks for commenting. BzB :-)

  • i am sorry to say but i totally haTE LATIN...but when u play im lovin it

  • Wow...that is a cool complement. Thanks.

    BzB :-)

  • dude totally awesome ... btw is that a 5 piece drum set kinda to your northwest? how much was that? do you ever play on it?

  • Thanks...the kit was my son's kit. He has a newer one now. That one is out in the shed. I think it originally cost me about $400 for his kit if I remember correctly.

    BzB ;-)

  • *applause*

  • Bow...second Bow...

    BzB :-)

  • okay cool bazy but have u ever thought of doing drum covers????

  • Yea...check out the rest of my channel.

    BzB :-)

  • bazy where have u been man????

  • Life has been a blur for me lately...I have been trying to shoot new vids but running into a lot of technical problems. I have some surprises I am trying to get out. I will be shooting some vid of my new band and I am working on a vid from my very first gig ever. So anyhow...just working out the kinks man...thanks for checking up on me...

    BzB :-)

  • that was really inspiring!!!!!

    GREAT JOB!!!

  • Thanks...BzB :-)

  • Good stuff. Makes me want to try playing some Latin music. I just bought a small electronic drum "kit" (a yamaha YDD-60, so calling it a kit may be a bit of a stretch. But hey, it has pedals). My friends and I got tired of jamming with a drum machine, so even though I don't play drums, I decided to start learning so we could get rid of all those emotionless beats. You're making me want to go and play now. Keep up the good inspiring work!

  • Sorry it took so long for me to respond...I just saw this post and wanted to say thanks for the great message.

    BzB ;-)

  • This was very interesting, I must say.

I really like your passion and taste.

You're making the studio drummers look great, man.

I subscribed as well, hope to see more!

Rock on, and keep it up!

  • Thanks for the great comment.. .I just came in from a gig and I am feeling tired and beaten up from carrying all that gear around. This comment was a pleasant suprise. Thanks again. BzB :-)

  • This reminds me of a Mario Brothers song or something.... some Nintendo song... anyways, great drumming as always

  • I will have to watch the whole thing again and see if I can hear it. Thanks for the complement. BzB :-)

  • this is awesomeyou rock

  • Thanks...BzB :-)

  • Sounds great. You are right. It is important for drummers to play all sorts of beats. When I took lessons my teacher made sure I knew the Cha Cha, Bassonova, Samba, Mambo, etc.... It really helps to know them

  • Yes...thanks for adding in here. BzB :-)

  • latin looks hard, is that premeditated and practiced or were u playing by feel

  • It was mostly by feel, although I did have some ideas as to where I was going to take it. BzB :-)

  • latin beat is not a simple beat.. it is very hard to play this beat..

  • I love the challenge of playing it...Latin is one of my all time favorites. BzB :-)

  • Which TD-20 kit are you using?

And another question please: I just bought the module and discovered that there is no kit which makes tha classic rim sound at the snare pad when I hit the snare's rim. Does this happens at all the td-20s or my second hand module has a problem?

    THANX!

  • I am not sure about the designation on my TD20...I have not stayed up on it and when I bought mine it was one of the first ever out of a box in the State of Florida. I got it the same day that they were available in this market. So I have had it for a bit now. They did not start coming out with all the different styles for a while after that. Mine I guess is called SBK. BzB :-)

  • Thanx. ANd what's your kit's name or number?

  • It is the Roland TD20...I dont know about any other name or number. I hope that helps. BzB :-)

  • Misunderstood :)))) When I say kit, i mean one of the 50 preset drum kits that the roland td20 module contains. For example Kit No1 has the name VPro, etc!

SO, you re using a preset td-20 drum kit, or have you modifies the drum sounds and created a kit of you won?

    Thanx once again!:)

  • Hey man you gotta put some more acoustic stuff on here

  • I do have a lot of acoustic stuff on here...you have to check out my channel page and click the "View All" on my videos. Or just Google "BazyBeats" and you will see. BzB :-)

  • really borring drummer!!!!

  • Oooooh...there is jealousy everywhere today... BzB :-)

  • hah dont pay atention to him..... jelous.... :}

You are cool man :) dnw

    subscribed :) keep videos comming :P 5*

  • Thanks for the back up...BzB :-)

  • man u flow really well.. can u make an instructional vid on how to roll around the toms the way the pro's to that quick danky slap/jazzy style tom roll's. i need to learn that stuff.

  • Thanks man...I will look into making a vid like that...but it may take a bit. BzB :-)

  • dude, you piss me off but damn you can drum :P love it

  • I wish I knew why I piss you off...but thanks for the complement at any rate. BzB :-)

  • Safe

  • Yea...I saw this comment and I saw the other one "Flying is the safest way to fly" but both comments have left me puzzled a bit...help me out here. BzB :-)

  • A TD20 is just a perfect instrument. Although I wouldn't advice young drummers to directly start with an electronic drum. I know many people don't have the chance to play with a real acoustic drum (I.E. ppl living in flats) but you need to practice a lot of an acoustic kit in order to really enjoy the versatily of an electronic kit. I played on a TD20 and got really impressed by the way it feels "real".

Cheers BZB keep up the good work

  • I totally agree with your entire statement here. I always advise new drummers to start acoustic before going electronic. You should play until you feel very comfortable with your technique and such before making the switch. BzB :-)

  • you are awesome!! i wish i could play like you =D

  • great men you can do evrything man great!!

  • you spelled border wrong!! but good job!!

  • Thanks...it was a Type-o...It is spelled right in the vid itself. I changed it...and thanks for the complement as well. BzB :-)

  • How much did yer kit cost?

  • It was $4,500 when I bought it about 4 years ago. Now they are going for around $5,500.

    BzB :-)

  • lol...i like how it goes up in price.../cry

  • Ya...I cant figure that one out myself...older technology now...pay more. BzB :-)

  • Cool!

  • Hey, I'm playing on buying a Roland TD-12, and do you know the dfference between the TD-9KS, TD-12, and TD-20?

    Much appreciate!

    ~Terry~

  • I cant say that I know all the differences or if the TD12 has been upgraded much..but when I bought my TD20 I was impressed with the playability, dynamic control, versatility of the kit. The only way to get all the info is to just go to the music store and try them out. BzB :-)

  • hey man... you may not realize but your helping a lot of people here with your videos. i'm learning stuff from you just by watching your videos... and wth your electronic kits i also feel like buying one over an acoustic drumset. :) Thanks BzB

  • That is definately what I was hoping for. I will make more when I have time. A lot of people have written to me to say the same and it makes it worth my time to do more. Thanks. BzB :-)

  • whwre did you put your camera??

  • very nice drumming, i'v been playing drums for about 2 years and im moving to a new house and need an electric drumset to be more quiet i need something not too expensive but good for the money do you have any suggestions ?

  • i have one.... u should try the sd7k i just bought one for 499

  • Top right corner.

  • dude look in the corner he has a real drum kit

  • Great job! :)

  • this is better

  • Thanks once again. BzB :-)

  • im going to be buying an electric drum set r they worth buying???

  • I think so...I have been playing electronics for a long time...and I have seen them go from the very first basic drums to the very complex systems we have now. I love the Roland TD20. BzB :-)

  • what are the drums name and how much did they cost because i have been looking for a electronic drum set myself

  • The Roland TD20 is what i am playing here. They run about 5,500 USD at this time...here where I live. BzB :-)

  • Ho : sorry i forgot to write " i like " te way you play on your TD-20*

    sorry ^^

  • Thanks...yes...I usually play on the cymbals just like you see here in my vid...sometimes I add one more pad with a cymbal sound to the right side of the kit. When I play acoustics though, I add a lot of cymbals. BzB :-)

  • Hy BzB ! In firt I wanted to tell you the way ou play on your TD-20. I wanted to ask you if you always plays with only two crash and on ride on electronics or acoustics rdums.

    Sorry for my english.

  • this is my i love electric so much!!! keep rockin' or salsa-ing!

  • do you ever play live with an electronic kit?

  • Yes...I have and it went well...but lately, the bands that have been hiring me to play have primarily been interested in the acoustics. It takes a long time for people to get used to them and most people are resistant to change...you can see that in the comments on many of my vids. BzB :-)

  • do u prefer electric or acoustic

  • That just depends on what I am doing at the time. I like them both for different situations. BzB :-)

  • wonder how many sets of drum sticks he's gone through????

  • It is funny that you mention that while watching me play the electric kit. On this kit I actually played with one pair of sticks for 3 years. Electric drums are very stick friendly. It cuts way down on the cost of sticks. But on the acoustic however, that is a different story. I go through at least one pair every gig and as many as 6 pair in a gig. Tonight I only broke one stick..but it was a very durable stick. BzB ;-)

  • hey, mate....you are really good! i love your drumming. good stuff. you should make a video playing normal drums as well.

  • Thanks for the comment...I do in fact, have some vids of me playing acoustic drums...check out my channel. BzB :-)

  • Lets go samba!

    Crazy Latin Grooves Bazy!

I'm learning some Latin grooves now so this vid will be useful:P

    see you around

  • Thanks for checking this one out...I thought it might be what you were looking for. BzB :-)

  • You're the boss! I like your beats so i will try to learn something from you. I'm a newbie drummer. Could you make some vid shots with an easyer beats to learn for newbies?

  • Thank you for the great comment...I will get around to doing some lighter stuff soon...I have been very busy lately but my schedule is getting more open lately and I will get back to recording soon. BzB :-)

  • Less talk, more play!

Keep on delivering those beats, Mr!

  • Thanks for the feedback...But it would not be a Bazy vid without an intro...now would it???

I will keep the drum vids and info vids coming. BzB ;-)

  • "Welcome drummers and drumfans"

    That's your catchphrase, right? ;)

  • Of course...It just would not be right without the opener and a short discussion on what I am shooting for in the vid. :-)

    BzB

  • That's right. ;)

Could you upload something more rock n roll maybe a doublekick lession on some nice doublekick beats?

  • I may do that some time...thanks for commenting. BzB ;-)

  • Very nice drumming

  • Thanks Koen...BzB :-)

  • Great playing bazy, you really kept that Latin beat! I was wondering if you could maybe make a video of yourself playing a drum solo without any backing track or anything. In most of your videos you seem to play mostly beats (I'm not saying I don't like your playing, I actually like it a lot!), so if you'd make a new video and play some kind of flashy solo with a bunch of cool patterns that would be awesome!

  • Have you watched the Workout vids? or my first vid ever? Check those out. If you are still looking for more then let me know and I will see what I can do for you. BzB :-)

  • I have only three words: W O W

  • Thanks fritzlou...I am glad you liked this one. BzB :-)

  • why are you using el-drums?

  • Well...for one...they rock, two, they are more quiet and neighbor friendly, three, they are easier on the hands, four, I love the sounds and verstility, five, I can record without mic's...where should I stop? BzB :-)

  • ok;P

Do you have to pay more to get a good el-drumkit than a real one?

    I've tried a cheap one that i didn't liked at all;D

  • Yep...like anything else...if you want the good stuff it is going to cost you. BzB :-)

  • what type/model is your electric kit?

  • It is a Roland TD20...BzB :-)

  • Heey Biz.

This isn't really relevant for the video, but I've noticed that you mostly use Roland..

I'm thinking about bying a Yamaha TDXplorer IV, and I was just wondering if you would recomend me buying Roland in stead.. If yes, then why?

    good video btw!

  • I used to play on older Yamaha DTX v2.0. and it was nice for the time when I played it. The sounds are always cool on Yamaha...but the simple fact is that Roland is always way out ahead of all the competition on playablity and feel. The sounds with Roland are also good and they get better with every set. So that is why I prefer Roland products. BzB :-)

  • man absolutely awsome ... u look like u love playing and it looks like u get in the zone when u play .. amazing hats off .. i subscribed lookin forward to more soon

  • Yes adrian...I am definately in that "zone" when I am playing...I feel at one with my kit and I just jam without giving it much though outside of what I am feeling just one milli-second before I strike the next drum. I dont personally understand how that all works myself...I just love doing it. BzB ;-)

  • Realy amazing!

I realy like your style of playing.

I've also got the TD 20 kit and I love it!

Can you tell me what kit you're using on the TD 20?

Or maybe you put it togheter yourself...?

Anyway, happy holidays and have a great 2008 ;-)!

    Greets Zenn

  • Thanks for the comment goldheart...I am just using a preset kit on this vid...I am thinking it is kit #2...but I will have to check when I get my kit back off the trailer this evening. I will write you later with the name and position of that kit. Sorry, it has just been a while since I recorded this one and I am just not sure what it is called. BzB :-)

  • holy god ur amazing

  • Thanks again drumerboy...I appreciate the wonderful comment. BzB ;-)

  • Who Is your favorite drummer/main influence?

    Great drumming btw!

  • Geeezzzz...that is hard to put a finger on..I started out like everyone else worshiping Neal Peart...but later added Jeff Porcaro, Steve Gadd, Stewart Copeland. I had really gotten into John Blackwell lately and I am now taking lessons from him. So that is basically it. Happy Holidays...BzB :-)

  • You are an amazing drummer! After doing lots of research and testing electronic drums, I have found that roland makes the best electronic sets. I am trying to decide between the TD 12 and the TD 20. Is the TD 20 a huge difference from the TD 12.

  • yes...the TD20 completely rules...You should have asked me earlier about the Rolands...I could have told you that they completely rule in every price range over all other equipment made in the market today. I hope you enjoy your new kit when you get it. BzB :-)

  • holly shit dude,

you are awesome as i wish i could play some beats half as good as that (incredible)

  • Thanks and Happy Holidays to you and your family. BzB :-)

  • Wow, you are very good. I wish I could play like that.

  • Thanks Keytaar...BzB :-)

  • dude thats some awesome shit man, and by shit i mean good.

  • Thank you GoPop...I took it as a complement...I knew what you meant...Keep Rockin dude...BzB :-)

  • wow you are so versitile. this takes some independance. great drumming!

  • This vid was the funnest to make. I had a great time with it. I love challenging myself to play many different styles and then pushing my limits within those beats. BzB :-)

  • damn! you rock. those electronic roland kits are hot!

  • Thanks speedballink...I love the Roland equipment.

    BzB :-)

  • Man you are a versatile drummer!

  • Sorry it took so long to get back to you on this comment...but thanks for the positive feedback. BzB :-)

  • Good.

    92.34

    Use more dynamics.

  • tampa!! lol i live in miami! cuban rythms are here everywhere lol

  • id love to learn to play the drums! i live in an apartment and i think the smartest choice would be electronic...but i still dont know which kit to get...im in a tight budget since i just bought a new guitar so i wanted to know if it would be worth it to buy a <$500 kit to start with

  • I am not really sure about the lower end electronic kits but I can tell you this. Dollar for dollar, the Roland kits are better by far in every class. Spend your money on Roland. BzB :-)

  • thank you very much, im going to try asking for roland kits next time i go to guitarcenter

oh and thanks for the add in myspace!

  • Your Welcome!!! BzB :-)

  • DUDE YOU FUCKING SUCK BALLS

haha, just playing, your beats are amazing dude, ive learned so much off you already. thanks dude :)

  • nice drumming man. i love playing along to loop jams on my td6 module as well. it's impressive that you can play along to a latin vamp like this too, latin stuff is always challenging. impressive!

  • yep...I agree drumsomega999...Latin is tough...especially for us Gringos...LOL...BzB :-)

  • yea, it really takes alot more hand foot coordination than standard rock beats

  • nice creativity

  • Thank you zeppelinman...I appreciate it. BzB :-)

  • wow!!! that was amazing

  • Thanks dssk1023...BzB :-)

  • why dont u use your acoustic? great drummming

  • Hey cranberry...I do use acoustic...see my other vids...some with and some without. BzB :-)

i was playing on a td12 at my drum teachers house

and tehres a kit called flangers?

    and it has great backing

do you have that on your kit?

  • Pretty good. The back track gets repetitive really fast but that's not your fault lol.

  • Well thanks...outlet...I appreciate the feedback. BzB :-)

  • hey bazy beats!, i talked to you a while ago, i just went to painos n' stuff today, i think you know what it is, anywho, i went there, and they have electric drum sets to play there, and i was playing them today, and there much funnn. but im curiouse, whicj do you perfer more, electric or acoutsic (drum set)
