I was 7 when I watched this. I remember this was probably the 1st time I was ever really shocked at watching TV. I didnt expect them to be Lizards at all. Nowdays it would be in the media and no shock at all to discover that they are Lizards. I remember I wanted to marry Diana as well! Heheheheh (I was 7). I also remember the cool uniforms with rank (even background actors wore different rank suits).

and i agree with you, greydancer42 about holding up. but maybe that's because of nostalgia. then again, i can still kick it with original King Kong, looks fake but damn that's PHENOMENAL work for the time period and that's why I appreciate it more (same thing with 7th voyage of sinbad - cheesy dialogue, spectacular special effects for the time).

Honestly. No one can say the special effects are good. They are terrible. The reptile face doesn't look like a living reptile face. It looks like a mask. It doesn't move a muscle. How is that good. it looks phony as hell. If you saw that on tv would you believe her/ No. Youd think it was a cheaply done trick. They need some computer help so it is believable and more fun to watch.

No, the TV show has nothing to do with it. The TV show is merely a production which might have been inspired by the conspiracy theory about reptilians from alpha draconia.

The theory of reptilians has been withus for many years, but it is only now that it is getting widespread distribution through the internet and because we're nearing 2012 so quickly now.

The new version of V, which will premiere later this year on ABC, is more focused on the conspiracy theory - they've been here a long time

They had been here a long time in the old show too. But they fleshed it out more in the new one. One of the problems with the old shows is that there is never any plot. They just run around and say one liners and have badly choreographed fights.

That was only on the weekly "V" TV show from 1985. But the two miniseries that preceded the TV show (in 1983 and 1984)showed how the Visitors arrived and were much more serious and well-made than the TV show.
