In my opinion this lyrics ins't about tring to forget a love, but the opposite. It seems like when you wake up a moring and discover that you don't love someone anymore or that you can't see the world the way you saw before. Like you "born" again in your life...maybe when you discover the bad side of the world or the disease...when you end your childwood..you try to rember how you was able to be happy with nothing... It was so easy to be happy, to love someone..
