  • amazing control and movement! she is so good <3

  • @asiannerd5 The dance is entitled that because it's theme song of the movie. The plot of the movie and the story she's telling with this dance could be completely different.

  • @asiannerd5 because if you have seen the movie or read the book you would know that schindler was actually somewhat of a hero and helped the jews escape concentration camps

  • can somebody tell the name of the artist of this music??? it's sooooooooooooooo nice I love it plz somebody.....

  • @asiannerd5 she is dancing with her mouth open, but not smiling, look more attentively!

  • Hasn't she seen the movie?? It's suppose to be sad! runes the hole dance for me, sorry

  • Holy Crap. This is the kind of dancing that leaves you sitting with your mouth open wondering if your watching dance or art. I am in awe.

  • @asiannerd5 schindlers list was a good thing. he made that list to save so many people from the nazis. it was a list of people he had working for him basically making the nazis unwanting to kill them.

  • this is wrong... she obiously has great talent but i feel that this song is meant only for the violin : /

  • Maybe it's just me but I think she is smiling to much to be dancing to Schindler's List.

  • her control and technique is impeccable. i can't believe how square her hips are.

  • LOVE THIS SONG

  • perfect artiste

  • amazing, this isnt dancing, this is art,

    love, perfectlypurple0130

    watch my channel

  • Non mi piace il balletto!

  • All the grace and beauty in the world will not help me understand the dangling leg thing at end, as the music faded, as she mouthed something...resembling a breathing fish? Still....99.9999% perfect for me.

  • All the beauty and grace in the world will not make me understand the dangling leg thing she did as the music died--still 99.9999999% perfect.

  • All the beauty and grace in the world will not make me understand the dangling leg thing she did as the music died--still 99.9999999% perfect.

  • very niceee!!! :)

  • I am not sure why someone would ripp this from your channel but she is amazing! Very strong, graceful, and able to capture the audience with her movements. We all knew what she was trying to say. And Yes! She was telling a story and she did it in every language. Bravo!

  • The choreography is soo unorthodox, unique and original. It's breathtaking how the choreographer manipulates some common movements and tricks to create something completely new

  • Just one word!! Wow!!!!

  • Это просто не вероятно!!!!!!!!!

  • great control just wasn't feeling the whole just randomly jumping toward the ending, but control of the legs was amazing. transitions could be cleaner.

  • I love you!!

  • I am crying right now.....that was absolutly amazing. That piece spoke to me. The music, the costume, the technique, the dancing, her....everything about that piece was perfection!!!! The choreography told the story so well.....FAVORITE!!! Unbelievable, only if I could get my dancers to be able to do that.

  • how far did she get on so you think you can dance?

  • I understand the choreography has the intention of contrasting with the music, which is often used. But for a dancer who looks capable of something less harsh and more fluid/soft, why not do it! She has the technique and should use it more cause she's beautiful!

  • @eferrucci There wasn't anything fluid/soft about what the Jews experienced during the Holocaust but it was definitely harsh. I believe that is what she is expressing with this piece. The pain, discomfort and confusion of that time seemed to show in her expressions and intentionally awkward movements.........but that's just my interpretation of her performance, though....

  • @1robotcone3 Who ever stated that the choreography had anything to do with the Holocaust?

  • @rekupp Are you familiar with Schindler's List? Oskar Schindler saved around 1,000 Jews from the Holocaust by putting them to work ("hiding them") in his factories.

  • @1robotcone3 I have seen the movie multiple times. Just because the music is derived from the score, does not suggest your gregarious conclusions. This choreography could have nothing to do with the Holocaust or the movie.

  • @1robotcone3 i kinda felt that too... her movements look beautiful, and enduring, yet broken... it was beautifully twisted in a sense... all else you stated about certain events, I'm not going into.

  • Don't get me wrong, she's amazing, but I thought the choreo was too tricksy and the execution too clean. Some of it needed to be rougher and rawer to really get the emotion across.

  • @xchiaroscura : I totally agree ! She's an amazing dancer, but this is just not the right dance to this heartbreaking song. Besides, she keeps smiling the whole time - no emotion here... Just a perfect technique.

  • @LiliScarlett8 Well... I mean, she's going insane in this piece and it was appropriate for her to go through thousands of emotions because she was breaking down mentally. She is a gorgeous dancer!!!

  • just. just... incredible. breathtaking.

  • You did great. But I'm wondering...why were you smiling? It's Schindler's List. It's supposed to be heartbreaking. I think that you should have put kind of a more emotional side into your dance, that would have made it a little more realistic, considering the music.

  • 02:28 might be one of my favorite things ever. Ida Saki is truly incredible. I love this dance, and I love Ida! :)

  • the most powerful part about this piece is from 2:58 - the end. shows that she was knocked down but she still was able to rise above it.

  • @asiannerd5 she's smiling to not think about the hurt. ( im gathering this from the background of the song.)

  • @kaleelee2309 I guess there is a certain....err...quality that I see now. However...there is still something about it that seems really showy to me... And it isn't forgetting the pain...it is more like...a happier time that was the precursor to her pain....

  • @asiannerd5 right. i can see that too.

  • LOVE IT!

  • @bricriu2 it makes perfect sense.

  • she makes it look so effortless...

  • Probably the best solo ever.

  • She used the ENTIRE stage! How AMAZING!

  • goosebumps.

  • @1:10

I hereby vow I'm gonna learn to do that :)

  • @angelcakes208 seriously! but how do you do it??? XP

  • Talk about telling a story with her body. This piece amazes me every time!

  • Absolutely stunning!

  • I messaged her on Facebook and she's really sweet y'all! It's so nice to know that brilliant performers like her are still modest.

  • i am facebook friends with this girl!!! i met her at a dance festival in miami last march!! She is truely amazing and i am grateful that i got to watch her dance in person omg i wish i was as good as this girl!! amazing!

  • I go to her studio and this still gives me chills.

  • goood choice of song goess with the concept well.. cudos to yoou:)

  • she amazing, but why the hell is she smiling that much? it does not fit with the music.

  • @XDLucaXD its about hope.

  • OMG the judges stood up!!!! i swear i have never seen such a good dancer and i am sure i will never be as good as her

  • Beautiful control and quality

Too many extensions with her right leg only. Balance it out.

And facial expressions tend to be a little too much.

  • her technique & control = out of this world! at 1:17 i literally gasped

  • She is gorgeous!

  • she is amazing! shes one of the most beautiful dancers ive ever seen and this dance is amazing. i cant believe shes 17!

  • every time I see this dance, I cry! firstly, because she's an UH-mazing dancer, but mostly because I think of my class trip with "the white busses", where we went to se the concentration camp Auschwitz and Birkenau and Ravensbrück. This dance is so real, so emotional, it brings me right back there. Thank you, Ida Saki, for this fantastic dance in memory of all the innocent persons killed during the horrible war. Thank you.

    PLEASE: no stupid comments.

  • OMG THIS VIDEO IS SOOOOOO AMAZING!!!! IDA I LOVE YOU!

    love,

    neal and christina

  • wooooooooooooooooooow

  • she is one of the most beautiful dancers i have ever seen.

  • I would have loved to see her on SYTYCD, but they break dancers down so much at Las Vegas week. I really can't blame anyone for quitting.

  • i love seeing a dancer her puts so much passion into what they do. I also like how they are yousin music from other religions than christianity. also because this reflects my religion. i think it was a beautiful dance

  • amazing

  • is there a video of anyone else dancing this routine?

  • @guitarguy1685 Make one.

  • this is beautiful...and who removed my post? i can't remember what I said.

  • Thank you for posting this video. Now I can see why those judges in SYTYCD were in awe.

  • this is the best solo ever.

  • She's perfect, I just don't understand why she didn't get into So You Think You Can Dance season 1? She's gorgeous and I love to watch her over and over again.

  • @peppiesg

Probably because she was about 11yrs old and you need to be 18 to get in

  • great dance and even greater dancer, but the whole thing was a little ruined for me by the smile on her face for most of it. Schindler's list wasn't meant to be happy ( I hope)

  • Thats what dance is telling a story

  • i think she actually danced this better on SYTYCD. When i first saw her I was excited to see how she would do. I was disappointed to see her quit.

  • @guitarguy1685 I was wondering what happened to her..she quit?..what a loss for us, she may have won it all..No other like her...Magnificent!

  • @flytommy1 She's at NYU.

  • I know her! Well my sister does because she goes to a school that is in dallas

  • Damn! 1:46 wow!!!

  • she's almost inhuman and it's just...beautiful.

    I could watch her forever.

  • it's like she's telling a story!

  • i take that whoel thign about smiling back.....i made the comment early on in the video not realizing that she use other facial expressions soory =)

  • this is such a serious peice and her movements are phenominal. the only thing im not 100% crazy about is that she is smiling...not to mean or rude...the signifigance if schindlers list is so intense that i feel like she should be making other facial expressions other than a perminent smile. like i saidm nothing against her or her dancing, im a dancer too, its just the smiling threw me off a little bit.

  • is she the one that made it on so you think you can dance, and then just left?

  • does anybody know if this is her own choreography?

  • @danceYOURheartOUT430

it says right in the info that it was choreographed by jessica hendricks....

  • @danceYOURheartOUT430 Choreography: Jessica Hendricks

  • I've loved this since early 2009, and I'm glad everyone can enjoy it now. So glad Ida came out for SYTYCD!!! SO awesome!!! My favorite dancer!!! ;)

  • SHE'S 17? WTFF

    WOW SHE'S AMAZING!

  • I'm a little confused, why would the Presidential Scholar's thing interfere with her being on the show? Other than the performance at Kennedy Center, what was the conflict? It's not like she didn't know about school before this, unless something changed.

  • @ALICEDODD Seems like she would have been able to coordinate something to make things work. I'm sorry to see her go.

  • I didn't have any idea what this music was when I saw her audition on SYTYCD - but it reminded me of a beautiful injured butterfly just trying to fly again and again, even though it was broken. It made me cry. She's a stunning dancer, and I wish her the best.

  • how have i never seen her dance until sytycd?? she's beautiful! this was so so amazing, and i love that music.

  • This is one of the most BEAUTIFUL dances i've ever seen!

  • Beautiful dancer, beautiful music. A simply stunning match!

  • Well done, keep up the good work.

  • Ida was too good for SYTYCD, she deserves a much more prestigious venue!

  • @snrtobass All she had to do was perform, and now look at all the attention she is getting.... BEST of both worlds if ya ask me......

  • @rekupp Oh ok, I didn't know it was a TV SHOW! ! ! Good for her then!! I have another question if you don't mind because you seem to know your stuff: what's a "presidential scholarship" compared to a "regular" scholarship? Thanks so much! :-)

  • @MemphisMyLove 20 of the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts’ YoungArts finalists have just been named U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts.

These talented students officially have been named U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts the highest honor bestowed on the nation’s graduating high school seniors by the White House Commission on Presidential Scholars, on behalf of the President. Ida will be performing live in Kennedy center in Washington for the president on June 21st.

  • @mylife179 Thank you so much for your answer! Much love! :-)

  • @rekupp Why did Ida withdraw for a scholarship program?

  • What kind of dance is this?

  • I feel so selfish wanting so much more of her on tv - but honestly, STYTCD will never really showcase or reward the best talent. Ida wouldn't have won anyway regardless of whether or not she deserved to. The crown would have gone to a goofy actor kid as usual instead of the best dancer. I wish SYTYCD could have dancers like Ida Saki and Kelli Baker though!!! Then we'd all get to see a lot of them. So sad. What can ya do. Go Ida!!! I love you & I love this routine!!! Hugs, xoStephy :P

  • She's grown as a dancer from this performance to her SYTYCD audition. Simply marvelous.

  • She's simply perfect.

  • Sickkkk

  • yeap, she is really outstanding!! not only are her moves amazing, it's so full of expression!!

  • Wow she is an amazing dancer, and it's nice to watch her without having to hear Tyce having an orgasm in the background

  • @oooda Whose tyce

  • @TwilightMANIAC1711 Tyce Diorio is a judge and choreographer on So You Think You Can Dance. He's known to have very obnoxious outbursts during the auditions while someone is performing. Ida Saki auditioned for season 7 with this piece but quit because she got a scholarship.

  • She reminds me of a Charlie Chaplin era picture show where all the scenes move at higher, disjointed speeds. Its awkward and beautiful. She is unbelievably impressive and I wish her the best in school, but in that same breath I hope she pursues dance because it would be a great disservice to the world to not have her dance more

  • @snrtobass God, what's with calling her a dumb bitch? She did what she felt was best for her. It's her prerogative.

I was blown away by her SYTYCD audition and was looking forward to seeing more of her, which I'll now do through YouTube searches. lol

  • @snrtobass imagine having the title of one of the presidential scholars under your belt...trust me...she will do just fine taking the route she chose.

  • At least we can see her on YT:) She is just beautiful. Thank you so much for posting this video of a remarkable dancer.

  • Ida you made the right move. Education comes first. You cant count on a one time shot on the stage. Sure guys she could have stayed on the show with no guarntees,,,,,She got a scholarship tha twill take her places this show would not. She choose to get and education. Not a darn thing wrong with that. What would she do if she injured herself and could not dance,,,,,,,then had nothing to fall back on. Good Move Ida With more education I am sure you will be unstopable.

  • She is just a lovely, intense dancer who emotes through the music. So glad she has a well developed brain as well. It also appears she has her priorities well in order. Impressive.

  • I'm sad that she's leaving sytycd because I won't get to see more of her dancing. She is beautiful to watch!

  • Clearly the girl is still young and school comes first to some people. So there is no need for name calling, ESPECIALLY if you are going to criticize something that will work out better for her in the long run. She is 18 my god she still has plenty of years to be on the show if she wanted to.

  • @snrtobass yeah, i know! i was so confused when i saw that on the previews.

  • she's gonna be on sytycd!

  • That's beautiful, just beautiful

  • I think the world is about to see exactly what this young woman is capable of. My father, Buster Cooper, awarded her his Jazz Scholarship last year, and she only gets better & better. She's amazing & superhuman in her technique, but also, she has a maturity & depth beyond her years. What an artist!

  • I saw the previews for SYTYCD and I think I saw her auditioning. She would be incredible!!

  • Tears are rolling down my cheeks as I write this. Ida that was so beautiful and sad all at the same time. The dance and the emotions you showed , captured the desperation of those who were held in the death camps. Ida you honored their memory,,,,,spririt and will to survive. It was an awsome site to behold ,wish you the best in your career.

  • wow!!!!!!! gorgeous dancer!! amazing technique!

  • So amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • She's AMAZING.

  • is she smiling?

  • very inspiring. i love the movements. and im wondering is there a trick to the way you fall to the ground out of the super high leaps without coming down hard or painfully? cuz im working on those.

  • You have to take into context the music and the theme of the music. The weird, awkward movements make more sense then. It's Schindler's List, about the Holocaust. The people affected, thrown into those camps tried so hard to survive, so hard to stand on their own two feet, but the rug was constantly ripped from under them, and they stood on such shaky ground, never knowing when they would survive. To me, her weakness, shakiness represents their struggles. Or that's how I interpret it. Beautiful.

  • wow standing ovation :)

  • I thought the choreography was so... odd at some points. I LOVED like 99.9% of it, but some moments left me thinking "Huh?". Maybe thats what its supposed to do... but I dunno I just thought some movements didn't quite fit. For example that circly thing that was the last move...

  • AMAZING!!!

  • Wow so great...

love most of it, apart from her facials, i mean at some stages in the dance, they really make sence, regarding the movement, but for the most part, i am just a bit, hmmm she don't need to use that much exagerated facial expressions that much, due to her movement and the power behind her movement already speaks so loudly, the facials take from this, But otherwise great.. i am so stealing that jump at 1:11..

  • she is SOOOOO so you think you can dance! omg! she is FANTASTIC! she did things i didn't think could be done/never thought of in my life! genius!

  • that was really good the facials were just kind of distracting to me...

  • Amazing Ida! She is such a beautiful and captivating dancer... such flexibility, strength and control. But even better, she is truly a humble, gracious and kindhearted person, which makes it that much easier to appreciate her amazing talent! We love Ida here in Dallas!!!!

  • That was SO BEAUTIFUL... I watched it twice and I'm crying. Amazing. xoStephy :P

  • Wow I really loved it!

The only thing that bothered me was that she was smiling while it's such an emotional song and.. I don't know, it didn't fit or something?

But for the rest. My god. She can dance!

  • wow...

better than the one she did last year 2008-Jump.

  • Her control from 2:27 to 2:37 is disgusting and I mean that in a good way. This girl's movement quality is amazing.

  • she's intense, but her intro speech could have been..better for the ears.

  • honestly this video either makes me want to try harder at contemporary, or just quit now cuz ill nvr be that good. that was just something else. wow

  • I am speechless!!! THis is amazing!!!!!!!!!

My jaw dropped when i saw that jump at 1:11 !!!

  • stop it ida!

    shes crazy sick

    and soo sweet

  • ida saki is my reason for living. ugh get it girl.

  • this girl is the truth!! beware of IDA!! shes amazing!!!!!!!!!!! i love her!!!

  • she won the dance spirit cover model competition right?? i looove this :).

  • AMEN.

  • that jump she does at 1:11 is insaneeee! i love her
