This dance is camper than a big van, and knowingly so! Russell and Flavia have ramped up the sequins and posing for comic effect, and why not? Given that as has already been said he is actually not a bad dancer, the audience are laughing with him not at him- it's fun and entertaining, which is what a light entertainment show is FOR!

I didn't think he made a fool of himself (unlike Nancy), and he wasn't the worst of the night by any means. And it's interesting how your mind jumps to a comparison with disabled people, which was not a comparison I made. I said I hope Russell improves because entertainment value can only carry you so far.
