@TommyW88 I think you missed that MiB IS the smoke monster. So he can't just be against himself unless he has a split personality or something. But I also think (or at least hope) MiB turns out to be the good guy and Jacob turns out to be "el diablo", as last night's episode said.

I know he is the smoke monster. But until yesterday's episode, it wasn't absolute fact that Welliver's character was indeed the same as the bad-Locke.

I was just saying that because I love Titus Welliver's portrayal of the MIB, that I wished he was a good character so I could root for him!
