How does one make this camera shoot without film inside. Can anyone explain. I can't seam to find out how to trick the camera to make it shoot without film.
Push down the film count meter and move it to 1 while the back is open. While holding it, close the back shut while still keeping it down. It should work after that
@kdshively THANK YOU. I have 5 of these that I am trying to sell and I couldnt figure out how to show people that they work perfectly without loading film.
I was debating between this and Mamiya 7, which is also an excellent camera, but way overpriced in my opinion. In the end I went with Pentax 67, my reasons were: its a 6x7, its an SLR, solid construction, sharp lenses and its cheap. As for Hassleblad, i never used it, but I hear its great. Also, you ever consider jumping straight to Large format (4x5)?
Whether is Medium or Large format, If you are patient you can put one together of eBay for very little money. But, the real cost is in the film and processing and that is where Large Format can be very expensive, especially if you shoot slides. // I think whatever you decide, whether its Pentax, Hasselblad, Bronica, Fuji or Mamiya you can't go wrong they are all great cameras with sharp lenses.
I own one of these and its my favorite camera in my collection. The picture quality is stunning. I also love the reaction i get from digital shooters "what the hell is that thing?!"
Nice camera. I'm interested in picking one up for myself but can't decide whether to get this, a Pentacon, Bronica SQA, Mamiya 645 or Hasselblad 500CM. So many choices. D= I've read that it's pretty hard to take hand held shots less than 1/100 of a second due to mirror slap. True?
i'm trying to get one too. tested a friends one yesterday. awesome!

yea, i had the some debate with the pentax and the mamiya. Large format looks fun but it just seem a little too cumbersome and expensive .

Hehe, I love the Earth-shattering shutter action on the Pentax.
Did they ever make a waist lever viewfinder for the 67? Focusing screen is big enough for one.

it's almost impossible to shoot han held less than 125, yes. you need a heavy tripod because the mirror slap is like a shot from a gun.
