Great Job! I absolutely love this song, Ritchie Blackmore and Rainbow. Your cover is impeccable. I had another dude's cover of the same song in my favorites, but it has since disappeared. He killed it too. In any event, I'll check out your other videos, and thanks for the incredible enjoyment. Aloha and Merry Christmas.
Holy cow -- this is really good. I rarely compliment people's covers on YouTube because most of them are lousy, but you really did a nice job on this.
If you don't mind, I have a couple questions:
1. What key is this song in? (I'm too lazy to look it up. *laugh*)
2. If you had to guess, what is it about the solo that makes it so different from most bluesy or pentatonic rock solos? What was Blackmore doing, stylistically or technique-wise, that makes it so cool?
Glad you mentioned the solo... the first part of the solo (arpeggios) sounds really different... heh sounds like computer noise to me... which is possible considering the song is about globalization. I just can't explain Blackmore... he has some weird scales... like the Snake Charmer scale... he also used the Hungarian Minor Scale a lot... when it comes to his use of pentatonics... nothing too special there.
Yeah, it does sound like G Maj. I should have guessed that.
Re the solo: The argpeggios at the beginning are obviously a classical touch (very common w/Ritchie). I love how he follows that with the string bending riffs. Then there are those barred or double-stop slide things that come next -- are you doing double-stops there or just barring a group of strings and sliding?
I also really like those pull-off riffs at 3:18, followed by that short trill after that. So cool!
its got a boo-didley beat... lol Priti svit, onaj deo u solou deluje jako jebeno man... Haha poceo si kao ja, sve crno... Jel to pored tebe steroidi barate?
It seems Blackmore is playing instead you. Great one Man :)

Wow, fantastic job. What a great song to cover. I absolutely love Rainbow. They never "made it," which is ok. Keep up the great work. Aloha.

Though rhythm of the guitar solo is difficult music, it is a splendid performance.
