  • I was thinking of getting an f250 in a 6 speed manual...would it be better to get the 5.4 or the 7.3 diesel?

  • That made my whole desk vibrate, very nice.

  • perfect man!

  • good sound!!!!

  • do you rember how much it cost?

  • @Skidooman550 No I don't know what it cost, low $300s at the time ( 2005 )

  • sounds good! also did this come as a kit or did you have to get it custom bent?

  • @Skidooman550 made from the exhaust shop.

  • i think this is what im gonna go with for my 2v 5.4 in my 250. this sounds sick

  • oh my lanta...

  • holy shit...has the sound of a v10 at idle...and low revs...then in mid to high revs its got the v8 rumble!! NICE JOB!!!! sounds amazing

  • @alpinetypeR666 Thanks!

  • @alpinetypeR666 it sounds good but nothing like a v10, thats a good thing btw.

  • @kumathebulldog it does have the slight v10 sound...but more aggresive

  • @alpinetypeR666 A V10? Are you kidding. Completely different crank and ignition pattern. Not to mention 2 more cyl. Sounds nothing like a V10 because a V10 engines sound like total shit. You are a moron.

  • @heatherandpaul2 get a grip fag, i have a v10, it sounds like mine on camera at idle and start up, thats all tho, not sayin it sounds identicaland v10s dont sound like shit, the motors are junk, but they sound mean

  • wow, i did not expect that from a ford, not too bad kinda sounds like an older chevy with flows, damn good sound

  • why do thease 5.4's sound diffrent than the 5.4 in the f150's of the same year?

thease sounded more like the v10 than a 5.4 but thats just the way i hear it

  • @mifan93 Super Duty 5.4s have different heads, 3" exhaust banks off the manifolds, im sure the cam is different too.

  • @DarrenWS6

    Oo, thanks

  • Sounds nice, but a 5.4? My buddy has a 5.4 in his F150 and its pretty slow esp when towing his 4,000lb trailer, can't imagine how slow this must be. Then again my daily driver use to be a 98HP 4 banger ranger. slow as he.. but got the job done.

  • @abram7117 Yeah I dont think its quick but not many 3/4 tons are.

  • @abram7117 Its not a race car, bud. Some people use their trucks for what they were designed for

  • @NorthwestAdventure hahah, back in the mountains the birds always have something to say, HD camera picks up all lol.

  • @DarrenWS6

LOL! All I could think about when I heard the combination of the serene woods and the birds chirping and you lighting up that SuperDuty was when Al Pacino yelled "Here comes da' pain!" in Carlito's Way!

    Very nice!

  • sounds sweet

  • i want that for my 99.

  • i love the setting of this video..

  • @Tubbed69 on my lawn infront of a ditch? lol

  • nice truck man must be your bros hey?

  • @dirtbikerman1234 thanks, yes it is. I have an '04 F150.

  • @DarrenWS6 thats pretty ballen wat color?

  • @dirtbikerman1234 See my channel, I have plenty of video of it. Its Dark Toreado Red Pearl

  • @DarrenWS6 oh cool

  • i just blown one up its was the 5.4

  • sweet

  • sweet truck my dad had a 99 with a v10 that thing screwed but i wish it coulda sounded good like yours

  • You and your brother have a pair of nice, clean trucks!

  • thank you

  • Hey I have a 99 F 250 as well ... I love it . How much would it cost me to get duel pipes just like yours and how many km you have on yours ? . Thxs man . Love that sound to :)

  • This isn't my truck, I dont know much about it. Hes had the setup for years though & its needing replaced. But for a average SI/DO muffler and 3.5" tops I would say you would spend $380 - $450.

  • Did this truck have 4 cats before? If so, which 2 did you get rid of?

  • Super Duty's dont have 4, just F150s ( 97 - 05 ). I dont know, all i know is the converter(s) are original.

  • does the 5.4 do well with the f250? would it handle 35s on and off road?

  • I would imagine so, not very sure. This truck has 285/75/16s which are 32.86" tall, 11.26" wide, handles them well on a stock suspension.

  • oh, so should i go with a 2 or a 4 inch lift for 35s?

  • 4" for sure. It'll fit them perfect.

  • thanks.

  • my grandad has a 2006 f250 with the 3v 5.4 and it pulls great :) he pulls his dozer and goosenecks and cattle :)

  • Truck sounds great. I have an '01 F150 w/ the 5.4 and was thinking about going for the same set up. Do you get a lot or any drone at highway speeds?

  • it sounds pretty quiet inside. The bed is always loaded with tools and such which kill some sound, and the muffler is mouted as close to the axle as possible.

  • I just bought a 99 F-250. I got 190 000 km On it K&N airfilter . Its chiped. Got 3 inch pipes put on her. And no major problems. How long does the Tritian v8 5.4L go for ? Have you guys had any major problems ? Thxs for posting :)

  • They'll run for a long time, they wont die easily. No break downs or failures yet, he's done a full tune up to it so it shouldn't be giving him any problems for awhile.

  • I want that engine

  • Sweet sounding. That's pretty loud at idle - but not a whole lot louder passed idle. kinda strange. but man she sounds good. DEEP. hahaha

  • Comment removed

  • i have one of these trucks at my shop right now, but its a 2000

im doing an engine in it, the customer bought alot of performance upgrades, including headers, K&N air filter, and some other stuff...

hopefully after all that stuff, it sounds like this =)

  • awesome, it'll sound great if it has a full exhaust, this is only a muffler and tailpipes!

  • i have a 2001 5.4L almost exactly like that. were did u get that exaust system? ive been lookin for that same one. dual side exits and i cant find any for my truck :/ can u help me out?

  • It came on the truck. Its a universal muffler with shop bent tailpipes

  • How does that truck run, does the motor have decent power in that big truck?

  • Its very torqued up. not so quick but it runs great.

  • Sounds like an old 5.0 mustang.

  • agreed

  • The 5.4 sounds so much better in the F250 and F350 for some reason.

  • The cat setup plays a good role in it, and factory 3" exhaust from the manifolds. I fully agree though.

  • wow. looks alot like my f150. except I have my exhaust going straight out the back. sounds great though.

  • lol yeah, this truck does around the same I think. its 90% a worker, then its just mainly my brothers back up when someone is out with the Explorer.

  • What do you get MPG wise?

the best i heard for triton 5.4's was around 15

  • This is my brothers truck so idk, but he told me once he got 12mpg. My '04 F150 5.4L gets 16mpg.

  • They look OEM, like pre-cats on an F150, just about exactly like those. Size probably 2.5". Its my brothers truck.

  • is it illegal to run without cats with performance exhaust?

  • its illegal to run no cat with any exhaust

  • sorry for asking stupid questions, i am only 16 and am going to be getting some duals for my truck and i just wanted to know

  • no problem, better to ask than find out the wrong way man.

  • u take the cat off?

  • Its got cats, I think it comes factory with 3, its only running two small ones.

  • umm itll usually be something like ride height, pay load capacity, gvwr, and max towing capability

  • mostly that and can configurations with bigger engines ( Supercrew Longbed 7.3L for example, theres no F250 like that )

  • Yeah cause we have an '06 F-350 Supercrew longbed with the 6.0

  • sounds pretty good man..those original flowmasters are hard to beat

  • yeah man. Sounds quite nice. My bro got that system done in 2006 when they were still being made. Those mufflers didn't look like they restricted much from the cut-a-way on Flowmasters site. But they died when the Super 44 came out in march 07, but that original sound is still very nice.

  • What do you mean by "they died"? Are the Super 44's louder than the original 40's??

  • Super 44s are about the same volume loudness with a deeper tone, and built better. The Original 40s were discontinued in late 2006 and the Super 44 was the replacement as of March 2007, since October 2008 they have brought the Original 40 back into production by the strong demand for them but they are now called the "Standard 40 Series"

  • is that ur truck?

  • r u at all jelouse??

  • uh no, why should I be? lol.

  • idk it kinda a nice truck but not nearly as nice as urs. what kinda horses is ur truck pumpin out?

  • lol, yeah it is nice. Before shooting this vid I had spend a hr giving it a good detail. His starter or fuel pump sounds like its starting to go though, every start has a little lag to it. Im glad to have a Ford again though now its a all Ford family again lol.

My truck not sure, factory is 300h/p 350lbs torque. Pretty much the same as my old 6.0L was just about, the 6.0L was tuned better though. I need a CAI and a good tune to give some really good power.

  • damn that sounds pretty good. Why is it smoking though? maybe the valve seats in the heads...

  • Possibly. Was cold too though and I had just washed it and sprayed water in the tips. But it does got 120k miles on it.

  • yeah that might be it. If i let my tuck sit for a few days, it smokes real bad the first time its cranked. its got 214,500 on it though.

  • My brothers. I washed and detailed it and decided to get a video of it.

  • Whos truck is that?
