  • thank you

  • Thank you for this video. I've just started the chanting and it really helps me. What books do you recommend to read when first starting out?

  • Why are there so many different Gohonzons?

What's the difference between this school and Nichiren Daishonin Buddhism?

  • Thanks,

    Peace, Love & Harmony

  • The gohonzon is our heart :) What a wonderful practice

  • Does one have to become vegetarian in order to achieve enlightenment in Nichiren Daishonin's buddhism?

  • .@Spiritualseeker86 No, there is no such thing that u become veg., or non-veg in this practice. i wish u all the best.

  • Thank you for answering my question. I have just begun the practice, but I was wondering yesterday if a Nichiren Buddhist has to be vegetarian? Can a person become enlightened in NIchiren Shu without being vegetarian?

  • In Nichiren Shu not need vegetarian...all human being can became enlightenment .. so do practice and learning together, buddhism without practice not buddhism, Chant Odaimoku "Namu Myoho Renge Kyo" with heart and practice good deed every day...this is basic of Nichiren teaching.

  • im new to nichiren buddhism is Namu said with the (u) or just Nam?

  • In Nichiren Shu used both, Namu and Nam. Kitayama Homonji, Nikko Temple use Nam for chanting, this temple is nichiren shu.

  • Thank you :) I suppose since I am used to Nam ill use that. I just set up my shrine I am actually ready to start practice :) wish me luck. Nam Myoho renge kyo!
