    wHaT's wITh tHe miStreSs ? I am intErEstEd :))

  • But I'm more than just a little curious

How Im planning to go about

Making my amends????.... to the dead

    To the dead...

    WITH MY HALOOOOOOO SLIPPING DOOOOOOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hey...So I LOVE the photos/artwork...some I'd like to buy..hopefully can tell me where you got it??

  • what a perfect song. Thank you Cigdem :)

  • they don't make them like they used to the emotion in maynard's voice radiates and you know he is speaking from the heart,If don't know if anyone knows this but his other band tool is a rare expection for a band to release a new album every five years and come back with a bigger fan base than before and that what makes Tool a very special band. Hope you like my post.

  • Eh I dont think so and the thing is: what do you call self-righteousness? Wasnt God self-righteous as well when he couldnt stand other gods beside him? I just wonder, no offense meant.

  • thiz iz such a beautiful song :)

  • Maynard is the most under-looked singer of all time.

  • First of very well composed song... But here are my thoughts... First of all a halo will NEVER be pulled over a humans head.... Angels would only carry halos two different breeds God created humans after he created angels Maynard in my opinion is jaw dropping as a vocalist but I'm sorry to say not effective to me ... His words are brought from pure and utter ANGER which has all the characteristics of a beautiful angel by the name of lucifer see where his thoughts brought him......,I'm just say

  • @j123blaze1 Learn about what you're preaching before you do it.

  • @j123blaze1 Does this song sound angry to you? Moreover Religion is understood literally only by zealots who do not understand it at all. In fact every mythology in the world (including the Judeo-christian one) doesnt make any sense when taken literally (looks like a pre-scientific way of seeing things), it is only through taking it as meaningful metaphors it starts having impact on our lives via its meaning.

  • @koalabunga I agree, I love this song! I'm christian, and go to church. I'm also a truth lover, and this song is telling the truth. Just because someone is religous doesn't make them higher. We are all mortal human beings. I think there are a few people who need to be hung by thier own halo.

  • @yihere Good point there! I havent thought about hanging these youtube spam zealots by their Halos but now when I think about it it fits just as good as the meaning of this phrase in the song. The only thing is they seem to be immune to any kind of criticism or any call for tolerance. In any case I really do agree and thank you for this inspirational idea!

  • @koalabunga Ya, it's like they're crowned with thier own self-rightousness. Like you have to think, act, and behave, if not look like them. I feel like there's no room for individuality. Kinda sad for people that are like that. I never saw anger in this song, but a wake up call. Lucifer is self-rightousness, and isn't that what the halo in the song actually is?

  • @j123blaze1 Halo stands for a mythical being called "angel" which is called after a verb Angeló in ancient Greek which means "to announce" - so they announce God´s will. Taken from a Christian point of view God is only Good and Loving thus an Angel may announce anything only with good intentions. So the Halo stands as a symbol of Good intention - being an angel for someone has exactly the same meaning nowadays.

  • Maynard > Whoever your god is (In the case that you have a god, if you do not have a god then this is an exception. xD)

  • This song makes me think so much. I had a past of sins and I'm trying to stay in my future to do better. I know when drugs hit me, well, I destroyed my family just as my sister did. Now I've been on my best to be close to them, but it's hard sometimes when they like to bring the past into the present.. :/

  • WOW! Beautiful!

  • @NinjaBat12 was that an advert :p

  • THis song just goes to prove that even if your a saint, you either had a sinnister past or a sinnister futer. I love this song so fuckin much!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Just a beautiful song, never forget where you have been in order to get where you are now. Every saint has a past and every sinner a future.

  • @kimmieshere1979 Totally agree.

  • I know this has nothing to do with the song, but I wish that Maynard would realize just how important he is. He is a source of comfort and inspiration to A LOT of people. I wish I could hear a single "I love you" or "Thank you" to the fans who love and support his endeavors. Idk maybe I'm just selfish, but that would be nice. And I know he doesn't like people prying into his personal life, but I'd like to know more about his life and his experiences of the span of his career.

  • Really a deep song. It speaks to me.

  • I bought The Thirteenth Step because of this song just the other day. It was very well worth it. :D

  • the day i first heard this song my boyfriend broke up with me but i still really like this song

  • Best hard rock song.

  • Pandora brought it to me on my system of the down channel. So i'm grateful to fate and programs for sharing.Glad to reconnect with Perfect Circle through your post. Thanks. Adios

  • this song has gotten me through so much

  • MAYNARD went w/ a friend 2 a meeting-there was a chick-fresh out of rehab who acted as if NOTHING she'd ever done while fCkD up was of her own doing;she was clean now&she'd b clean 4ever.She totally disregarded ppl w/more clean time&felt she was superior;she didn't need 2 put in ANY work or listen 2 any1.When she walked by after speaking,MJK's friend said,"don't let ur halo slip down&choke u"MJK said he heard those words, ran home&wrote the song. She was2cocky&offensive2 ppl w/a lot of clean time

  • @831magdalena It's really hard to read what you wrote WHEN u TALK liek THiS

  • @XxSpyyx AYE, BEST COMMENT ON YOUTUBE IN MY OPINION!...

  • This needs to be in a movie

  • thank god... 360p

  • with your halo....slipping down...to choke you now...fuck yeah!

  • awesome job on the bike.hats off

  • @FuzzyLittleManPeach because they are STUPID!!!

this is the most beautiful song of A Perfect Circle!

  • i have a question for all other youtube viewers... y do people watch a song on youtube and then give it a thumbs down??? if u think about it, it makes no sense...

  • Meh. Just youtube being a douche.

  • Not being able to post it to Facebook just got it removed.

  • i really raped the replay button this song its fucking amazing!!!

  • This might just be because im overtired. But i dont feel anything with this song. Sounds good though

  • "Your halo slipping down", such a powerful image. Easily one of the greatest metaphors.

  • I fucking love this band! They make my heart whole. :) Your halo is slippin down...to choke you now.

  • @MeganLeyba =)

  • Luke sky walker entered from the right. He was carrying his light saber (The like bar)

  • to auto repeat this, replace the 'tube' in the url with 'repeat'

  • such an amazing song. so many lyric meanings that bother me though.

  • as perfect as the circle itself

  • @matteosicilia O I see wut u did thar. Nice one.

  • I Climbed a 100ft radio tower without any equipment to this song.. I got down took the headphones out and started shaking rapidly. Put 'em back in and I was fine. Thank You awesome music

  • I love this song...

  • I wonder where all the money went from all the holocausts.

  • cry.

    This moment made me cry.

  • Love this song it really affects me. Not many can do that to me..

  • I hate the pictures in the beginning, but otherwise good video.

  • A chilling song. It makes me think of dictators who won't just go away. But eventually they have to come to terms w/the truth.

  • Wow. That is probably the most retarded thing ever said in the twenty first century. The song has nothing to do with that extremely vague qnalogy. Enjoy your life.

  • @salviab123 Criticism from you seems about as normal as constipation. Art can be interpreted in many ways, dumbfuck. I know what the song is about.

  • The song was inspired by this guy that one of the vocalists friends ran into. The vocalists friend had just finished rehab and he was all happy about his "victory", the guy he ran into said the exact words "and not to pull your halo down around your neck, and tug you off your cloud but im more than just a little curious how you plan on making your amends." he was talking about how he plans on making it up to the people he hurt when he had the problems he had just been in rehab for.

  • @dblanket69 makes perfect sense

  • @dblanket69 wow bro, i legitamently liked ur comment. thx for in info

  • @dblanket69 the info...

  • @dblanket69 Vocalist's friend? You mean Maynard. If you dont know the vocalists name please learn it.

  • @dblanket69 NOT TRUE. see below.

  • Yeah amen!

  • This song is amazing. Very deep, depressing lyrics. I tend to stick to music that wont make me feel down in the dumps, but I cant help but listen to this masterpiece every now and then.

  • This Song is simply for his mother who died...but was really religious..and is about all the people who stress over past transgressions to those who died and they never gotto say sorry..

  • @HaydenBThrobbingG No it's not. The song's about addiction or "Rehab". People recover but they get this holier than thou additude. The trouble with this in recovery is that when people become too confident, is when they tend to slip up, and become choked by their halo that's slipped down around their neck. The line where he says "I'm more than just a little curious how you're planning to go about making your amends to the dead" is referring to the 12 steps of recovery.

  • @MrRuChLoS Haha damn your actually right... some other APC songs are also about the 12 steps and recovery

  • Mm.. This song makes me think when people try to do good.. But it ends up killing them... The halo being their deeds... And in the end it chokes them and consumes them.

  • Loves this song... get goose bumps every time i hear it

  • This video is purely about the falsity of how people always find god after the crime. Your actions speak the loudest and are hardest to repay. Your words are merely good intentions untill u have acted in kind. The Halo / Noose is a metaphoric way of saying, that you will choke on your deceitful words.

  • Beautiful song, the song kinda sounds like 2 me about a person with a hellish past and is struggling 2 possibly fix it or make amends 2 everything or anyone that had been wronged. im sure there are many different opinions 2 wat the song is all about and just felt like saying wat it seems 2 be about from my view.

  • I don't think it really has much to do with religion. I believe its referring to the 9th step in the 12 steps of A/A / N/A. Which is to make direct amends to such people wherever possible. And the "cloud "refers to the "pink cloud" people experience in early recovery. But, hey, I could be wrong.

  • For me it's about religion's hypocrisy of preaching peace while it also calls for genocide. The song points out how your "halo" that you take so much pride in, is what will damn you.

  • @viczam9 as long as you can accept a difference between faith and religion I agree with you whole-heartedly. The Christian Crusades could be very well confused with Muslim Jihad if told in the proper context. Both are essentially genocidal practices. Your halo reference is spot on in my opinion.

  • @WMHJrDOL The song is simply about people getting better through either rehab, faith, etc. But it doesn't necessarily forgive past transgressions. You still made mistakes. You might not be forgiven no matter how much you try. You might say the stories about your past were a different you, a different person. Your halo can bethe final nail in the coffin. To be forgven you can't just claim to be better. You have to ask for forgiveness.

  • @viczam9 I like it. Thank you...

  • @viczam9 I agree with what you say but I believe the song focus more about those to whom you can't ask for forgiveness... Spite the song says "to the dead" I believe it doesn't necessary need to be to the dead, it can be anyone that just doesn't want to forgive. And it's like someone was all happy for being cured and the singer made him realise it's not all good, not all is well. And the halo slipping down seems like the guilt falling down on the guy... me thinks! :P

  • @zafnathpanea Good interpretation. I like it.

  • Creepy but awesome........

i dont think listening to thiss song was a good idea for a 1 in the morning activity

  • @cresent665 They have even creepier ones... like Counting Bodies Like Sheep

  • @Soioblaa12124 imma go listen to that :o

  • @Soioblaa12124 That's not creepy- that's about opening your eyes to what the gov't is doing to our country - especially when we were under the regime of W. Don't be a sheep.

  • @831magdalena still thinks presidents play a roll in anything.

  • beautiful song, rele touches everyone. we all have our demons

  • It's all a game to her, and instead of playing with action figures and toys. She plays with real people and their emotions. While pretending to love people you've only hurt and used real people. she is fake and evil in many ways......depart from me.

  • there is no amends in my opinion...good riddens prissy

  • @bubbie7801 good riddens?

  • this song is just so perfect in every way shape and form. his relaxing voice, the gentle beats, and the message of the song just fit so perfectly together

  • I love his voice

  • Get pussy to this song....

  • These lyrics are deep. And the base is awesome; theres not many songs that i can turn the sub all the way up on, because i like nice clean base - and this HAS IT!

  • This song is actually about an ex who got clean. Blue is about his girl who was a junkie and he never knew. Check out the DVD. He explains a lot about the 13th step

  • The song is actually about an ex girlfriend of Maynerd's who got clean. The song BLUE is about the girl he had and he never knew she was a junkie. Check out their DVD. He explains a lot about the 13th step album

  • @75jamesd

I don't think it was an ex. And it's about rehab, not just drugs. And by the way your comment posted three times. I'm not being a smart ass, just letting you know.

  • The song is actually about an ex girlfriend of Maynerd's who got clean. The song BLUE is about the girl he had and he never knew she was a junkie. Check out their DVD. He explains alot about the 13th step album

  • this song has a deeper meaning on me, it isnt just a kick-ass song, it refers to my life, and for all of u dumbass, the song isnt about hanging yourself, its about taking a thirteenth step on drugs, its telling about the lead singer who got off of drugs

  • @smileypack1 It's not talking about MAYNARD- and he wasn't ON drugs. JESUS, MAYNARD AND JOSEPH. get your fCkN facts straight.

  • this is the only song that ive ever heard that can bring me to tears. love this song.

  • cant hear one word this poor quality isn't worth 'sharing'

  • There are a couple of errors in the lyrics, but I'm not gonna sit here and bitch about it to you (: Good song, thanks for posting!

  • crazy how your feelings makes music sound\

  • Tool will make you think how life works and such.

A perfect circle will make you feel some crazy crap.... lol

  • Almost forgot how great this song, album, band are...... almost.

  • i do so enjoy this song in fact ive played every night before i sleep ever since i found it.

  • this is always gonna b my song to u jen i still love u its been almost a full year since u walked away n u still haunt me........why???

  • this is the all time greatest song ever.

  • @zartyzzo I'm sure many guys do, but many one the ones I know are strangely unemotional... Or maybe I'm ignorant of when they choose to show their emotions...

  • Chances are they're just as emotional but choose to hide it behind a 'mask', so to speak, so they can live up to the "ideal" image of a man.

  • @Zartyzzo that would make a whole lot more sense than not being emotional...

  • seriously only 193,864 views?

  • Just a thought but how come almost all emotional lyric videos and the like use artsy pictures involving female individuals. I am fairly sure that us males can undergo the same feelings and experiences as our feminine counterparts?

  • I used to always think of George W. Bush when I heard this song, but here for a couple of days it will be that sorry sack of ass bin laden who is pulled off his cloud in my mind. He said he did the work of god, well, now the asshole has his chance to face the angels and the chains that will bind him into eternity.

  • its so stupid - to even have a dislike icon for this song

  • I could never say that i really "raped" the replay button until I heard this song

  • @Richh95 if you are just now discovering APC you have a glorious time ahead of you, if you are familliar with APC then you have a glorious time ahead of you aswell as behind you.

  • @Richh95 i have been raping the replay button for like the last 3 days :DD

  • @Richh95 Right???? I think i can take this video up to 500,000 views today only by myself.

  • im in love with this songg

  • my demons cast me out

  • ~15 people choked on their halo

  • the novus ordo seclorum is almost at its end

  • The audio is really high quality. Nice job ;-)

  • Don't throw stones at glass windows....the halo is coming down to choke you now.

  • its crazy how music can make you feel...

  • @777wildthings77 it's crazier and more insidious as to what it can make you do and think

  • This song symbolizes to me all the situations where your believing that you are rightious in that moment and to all the people that you know and take for granted to always be there when life is only here for today(right now) . All those things youve done in the past will feel like they will never be right because you didnt get to say im sorry or goodbye. the writer of the song is singing about theirself to themselves because of regret for the things they cant change.

  • This song is really about being stuck on drugs and getting clean. Hes putting it all in perspective. Basically saying you got a halo now but it can easily slip and fall turning it to a noose.

  • This song seems to be more like about someone who has committed a crime and either mentally or physically killed someone. Them says hey I found god and we all praise and forgive them and he's saying ok good for you but now what about your victims???? How do you make it up to them??

  • i absolutely love this song, it's one of the most meaningful songs in existence

  • the world can be depressing. but if you learn to deal with it, you feel so much better. if you're bullied at school the thing you have to know is, all bad things pass by. if the world wont help you with a bully situation, you can also realize that you may never meet the idiot again.or an evil way to calm your stress is dream of killing this person, i do it all the time. if a girl hated you and/or dumped you well, the world is filled with women that may like you.there are good and bad things.

  • One word...CLASS.

  • fuck betraying bitches

  • makes me sad too;;; I miss alot of ppl.

  • this song makes me sad , i miss you jesika

  • This is a song that kind of just calms ya down, and makes ya think of all the Evil in the world at the same time |:P

  • @BlazetheWolven johnny knows that the human race is evil... or at least, he thinks he does.

  • @Chowy03 Yea it sucks but it's ok :) I'm over it now and with someone better hehee ^_^ thanks for the good wishes lol :)

  • This song makes me want to fuck, sloooooooooowly.

  • @MrBvitamans7794 Probably a better alternative than what it makes me think about..........*hides her bottle of advil*

  • cool vid, awesome song. great lyrics as always.

  • 12 people just sealed their fate with St. Peter......dislike apc ..wrong with you?

  • @Salmoncrusher Ah... I see now. So it's like you believe your own lies, eh?

  • We are all the same on this piece of shit in space

  • I just realized that men are no different from women...

    They hurt too...

Trust me, I've always thought guys didn't give a rat's ass if someone dumped them...

You learn new things every day. :)

  • @Aragalinna We try to pretend like we don't... But I actually think that all those years of putting up a pretending, men sort of become more resilient. Kind of eventually believing our own performance.

  • Comment removed

  • @Aragalinna if i were to get dumped i bet i wouldnt really care. you realize that that girl you've been dating never really loved you.

  • Love, love, love this song. Perfect pics to go with this MorbidxMistress!
