UDE is upper deck entertainment and they used to own the yugioh TCG franchise, and at a tournament this judge who was with UDE (judge as in the guy who knows the rules to yugioh and finds cheaters, explains rules ect.) SAW someone cheating and didn't do anything about it,and the guy won alot of stuff when the other guy should have won won instead...apparently,so Konami claimed yugioh (also UDE has been known to scale packs and sell the jank packs and keep the good cards and sell them as singles)

usually, the reason older ppl usually win is because they don't make their decks on their own.  They do what is called "cookiecutter deck building". Which is where they get the list of all the cards in a top-ranked deck and copy it card-for-card.

Upperdeck Entertainment, thats why. The reason why those cards were so unreasonably expensive was all greed from Upperdeck. Konami, on the other hand, had cards much much cheaper.
