You will probably learn fast that when gangsters negotiating on the table, only the one with power has the right to demand something. If not, you are asking for humiliation. Same thing happened to Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan, and the list goes on. I remember when I was young I read an article by PM of Singapore demanding the same thing. He got nothing!

@mrshyushyu When Japan surrendered in WW2, its Emperor declared that Japan the “Potsdam Declaration”, in it, it spelled out that other than the 4 main big islands, the allied nations shall have the sole power to decide which small islands shall be kept by Japan, Japan has no say which small island it could keep. So, any future Sino/Japan peace treaty, PRC China, not Japan, has the right to decide the ownership of all small islands, including islands in Okinawa.
Can someone translated the below English comments on China/Japan Treaty into Chinese, so that all Chinese can understand the issue, including Chines government, and the arguements could be used in the future to demand war compensation and claim disputed islands. " The terms of the Cairo Declaration shall be carried out and Japanese sovereignty shall be limited to the islands of Honshu, Hokkaido, Kyushu, Shikoku and such minor islands as we determine. ".
In here, the "we" means to the countrymen of USA, China, UK ( Potsdam Declarartion said
"We ..., representing ... our countrymen...")
So, it is clear, Japan has no say on small islans.
One mistake, ROC actually did not sign the 1952 peace "Treaty of San Francisco", but later signed theequivalent peace " Treaty of Taipei " with Japan in 1953, under presure from USA. As you know, PRC and USA were at war in Korea from 1951 to 1953.

I kind of like it because it shows that people don't forget the war crime done by the Japs in WW2. Same thing the Jews don't want the world to forget what Nazi did to them. 謝謝你回覆，也多謝你再傳送這首歌的短片讓我欣賞。我之所以對這首歌特別欣賞，除基於旋律動聽、周璇美妙的歌聲外，還欣賞歌詞能鼓舞國人愛國胸懷。記得約三十年前曾到台灣，在遊覽中正紀念堂與國父紀念館期間也曾聽到這首歌，對我而言特別感動。
凱旋歌的填詞人〈范煙橋〉在《花樣的年華》歌曲中寫出「啊！可愛的祖國，幾時我能夠投進你的懷抱，能見那霧消雲散，重見你放出光明」，作者讓我們知道上一代人多麼痛恨戰爭，戰爭令無數人枉死、令無人顛沛流離，生存下來的人都期望國家日漸強大，不再受列強欺侮。
希望每一個中國人拿出真心，為國家做一點事，中國自會日漸強大。

請問日本為何要侵略其他國？為何屠殺那麼多無辜的平民？想到被屠殺的同胞，想到我們上一代經歷中日戰爭的苦難，想到為保衛國土而犧牲的軍人，淚水不覺湧了出來！兩岸都寬大為懷不要求日本道歉賠償，但得到甚麼？日本何曾醒覺以前的錯誤？！今天還要爭奪我們的「釣魚台」！

蠻夷畏威而不懷德，而且島國總是要從海上擴展，因為本身土地小。英國建立了多少殖民地？中國是農耕民族，本身特性就不同。
這也是爲什麽明朝幫助屬國高麗打敗日寇后，明朝皇帝并沒有趁勢侵略日本的原因。

首先日本戰後和德國的情況是不同的，美國選中日本作為太平洋島鏈中重要一環。老蔣的國民黨要依靠美國，之後內戰更自顧不暇，退到臺灣后，1952年在美國主導下被迫簽訂《中日和約》。而共產黨72年和日本建交，田中角榮雖有提及，但日本談判代表高島重提52年和約，連賠償2字都表示異議，最後在周恩來堅持下才同意是中國放棄賠償而不是沒有賠償這回事。
說到底，中國當時的國力根本無法與美蘇對抗，而國共兩黨一起抗日雖然牽制和消滅了日寇陸軍，但加速日本投降的還是美國的2顆原子彈。這樣你應該也能想明白，爲什麽美日是盟友，可是美國永遠不會讓日本入常和擁有核武器的原因。

往者已矣! 如果沒有內戰, 今日該是如何景象? 歷史的功過如今計較已經太晚了; 在長春四平, 在淮海(徐州.蚌埠)的平原, 埋沒了多少中華民族好兒女? 我為兩岸的同胞欣欣向榮而慶幸, 我也為內戰犧牲的先烈悲痛! 周璇是爸媽和我最喜愛的歌星, 爸媽早已去世. 如今每聽到她的歌, 從心底感覺一陣溫暖, 尤其是凱旋歌, 總會忍不住流淚...

時值今日仍然有國外勢力要分裂中國。我不否認土共有很多問題，但是現在更認清一點，如果達賴和熱比婭的要求實現，大藏區新疆分裂出去，只怕剩下部份的中國將四面楚歌。也認清老外抨擊中國不是為了中國人民好，而是以此來交換到他們需要的利益。
國與國之間只有永遠的利益，沒有永遠的朋友。至於內戰，同胞打同胞確實痛心，中國人不能老是在外國人的屠刀捅來時才懂得團結。
