Why does this guy think he knows what he is doing? In mountain biking you only stand up when accerating on flat (maybe) or when going down hill. You won't slide out as easy when you sit down
@GeologistRob nah man, easy hills are simple, but I've already ridden up hills so steep, pedaling made my bike go into a wheelie and fall backwards. But yeah, this vid is a little basic...
wtf does this guy make videos for people who stay in the same position on their bike, dont know how to turn, cant think of a way to get up a hill.... etc
Hey. Would you do a video on proper fork lock out and how to transition from a fast downhill spot and then shifting your gear into low when you hit an uphill spot. I always loose too much power going uphill and loose steam. Any pointers?
XP "Use a lower gear"... Well, obviously. Won't anyone tell me how to actually stand up on the pedals without losing control of my center of gravity and falling over??? Is there a trick? Are you supposed to let the bike wobble under you or not? How do you wobble without falling over?!?!?
@kaizer3000 yeah i know. just use those low gears and keep cadence high & take a swig of sport drink for energy boost. one thing that gets me is how dead you feel at the top, then how relatively fast you recover, as though you weren't just in hell.
@hamonryehd for me, the most rewarding cycling does is after you have reached uphill, you get to cycle downhill - without using much energy at all and the wind whooshing at your face...ah...its almost like flying... XD
@kaizer3000 i kind of don't like big hills, my trail is rocky, so it feels unsafe. that's why mostly i ride on road, and fiddle with the gears, so i can keep peddling and peddling. my trail does have, though, a lot of off-road sections and bike paths, outside the normal wide lane for joggers and equestrians. on those, "technical" paths and rural field "trails", it's fun to kill your legs to climb, but a different kind of fun. more adventure than exploring for me. it's all all good though!
@RandomKornyMovies i customised my bike's tyres with those guards...the ones u see on a motorcycle...so when i accidentally cycle on watery surface i dont have to fear the mud/dirt splashing all over my body...
does the crank style shift work the same

in simpler means.. pedal your bike.. change to the gear that you find it not too light but not too heavy..
going to a standing position will (sometimes - in wet conditions) make your back wheel spin in place and u'll lose your balance.. :)

But he didn't said one important thing...LOCK YOUR FORK!! Or you'll be tired soon beacuse of less pedaling efficiency.

@freemusicblogg bad thing is not all forks are lock-outs
