  • Is the p225 a good gun? Just wanted to know.

  • you couldn't have said it better i see alot of people buying all these tactical vests like they going to war and half of them cant fire a weapon accurately great vid

  • On point. Good video.

  • really good info. i wish more people listen to what you are saying. i live in a somewhat risky area and we hear a bump in the night every once in a while. usually our German Shepard is on it but even when he doesnt think it is a concern i am up like you say in my undies .45 in hand led in other with quick snap belt with 357 and second mag for .45. i dont put a light on my pistol because you dont know what your will be aiming your light/gun at. dont want to scare the crap out of a kid.

  • @fuyingbro any wife stays in the bed room with her 9m out while getting the phone and shotgun ready

  • as usuall miller, well put. there been a few times in 20yrs, i found myself downstairs in my underwear, w a pistol, before i was really awake.

  • Ill be the 1st to admit when i first got in too guns i was more ckncerned about buying cool shit from COD and SOCOM and just shooting it all for the hell of it instead of focusing on what i should have but now i have my daughter i take shit alot more seriously its kind of not even fun anymore cuz they are just tools that i need to protect my family and i see that now..

  • 129,166 backgrounds checks, in Black friday 2011

how many at the range next morning at 32F

  • Confront bumps in the night naked, with flopping dick in tow.

  • like your vids. you are a good speaker and very informative.

  • Miller once again you said it right. I know that if I hear that "bump" in the night. I am going to first grab the handgun and if I can think of it, a light and mag. This video needed to be made because there are too many "wyJOSHUAS" out there who think that they can call a time out in the middle of a fight or threat. TRAINING IS A MUST.

  • A-D-R-I-E-N-N-E Remember the tiger.

  • @NiceNineMillimeter ...but that is the reality of the matter. In a concealed carry defensive environment, you will always be reacting. Being on the defensive will always put you in a slight disadvantage at the onset. A good reaction will turn the favor for you.

  • My self-assessment is that...I need a LOT more training and physical fitness...

Great video. You really didn't cover anything that any smart person wouldn't already know--but it's still important! It's sometimes hard to honestly assess ones self; we all like to think we are more capable than we are. It may have been you who said [paraphrase] that if you're not practiced, you will not rise to a challenge just because you want to.

If the zombies come tomorrow, I'm probably doomed. :-(

  • I have a mini 14 with a flashlight on it, and a few 30 round mags that go in a mag pouch on the stock...and with just that i never feel like I'll be outgunned for self defense...They don't care if You look like Rambo...If You are armed, most threats will bug out...Criminals like easy targets...

  • yeah i have a lot of tacticool gear but S&W 41 magnum guards the house at night...

and if shit goes bad double stack 1911

    Big ups miller

  • Hear hear! I gave up early on with the Tacticool stuff. Too expensive and I'm not at war. Give me an old 30-30 that I can shuck shells into on the run and a reliable sidearm. That works for just about any threat short of a civil war.

  • Great video Sir, looking forward to the rest of the series. proper "mindset" is a must. Thanks for sharing.

  • Miller, I look forward to seeing the rest of the videos, I do believe you are very grounded and provide very good information to the new owner as well as reminders to thouse who have chose to own many years ago. It is always good to review the basics lest we forget them. Thanks again.

  • @millerusaf Would you make a video on shotgun tactics, In a home defense role.

  • Great video...Bruce Lee used to have students show up with their work and street clothes to practice in.

  • I will definitely draw the attention of the LAPD if I walk out of the house in tactical gear. Don't get me wrong I love gear, and cool gadgets, but it isn't going to do you a bit of good in an urban environment. I consider myself to be behind enemy lines when I walk the door so I blend in with the environment and that means wearing regular clothing. Good Vid Miller. Thanks for injecting some common sense. BTW where is the HI-point? JK

  • I dont want to look good for my enemy..hopefully he thinks im dumb and unprepared. That or he wont see me at all...I dont understand why I would buy all the fantastical craptical stuff when i could learn my territory and my weapons better..

  • the overwhelming majority of ALL SPORTING GOODS are sold to the ego. there is nothing wrong with having nice gear, but ill take a disciplined soldier with a crappy gun over a fuckhead with a great gun any day of the week

ps ego fucks there is no glory in having to shoot someone.

  • @SergeantPwns There is more glory if you can defuse a situation without having to harm anyone. Unfortunately that is not always possible.

  • @millerusaf agree. you can teach a boy to pull a trigger but it takes a man to know when

  • @SergeantPwns ...Amen.

  • i agree for the most part. i understand what you say but having a plate carrier by you bed side with ballistic inserts along with a pistol, mags, handcuffs or zip ties. a cell phone for calling the cops after you shot him, all attached is very praticle. it only takes a second to slip on if you dont bother with the side straps. i use a shotgun as my main home defence weapon.

i agree you should practice using IWB holsters more than any drop leg stuff. as civilians handgun proficiency is critical

  • R.O.A.R. I don't know if it was intentional or not, but that's a fitting acronym.

  • @Miroku1226 It's intentional. :)

  • I agree...weapons are only TOOLs and are the least important. I would rather have one intelligent and educated individual to fight beside, then an army of Tools with a fortress of weapons that have no insight, education, intelligence or ability to adapt, overcome and improvise (which are easier to implement with the former attributes). Keep it real, be safe and watch your six.

  • oh yeah and Awsome intro btw...

  • youre RIGHT!!! im gonna start training in my undies and on special occasions in the nude lmao jk jk...i understand what youre saying--basically dont waste energy/time/money for something youre most likely not going to use in a real life situation...train with gear you will actually be using if the time comes...there will only ever be one real Rambo lol XD

  • Key: Don't be arrogant, but be confident.

  • @xSnuffedx The problem is that some people can't tell the difference. But that is a very good point.

  • Love the intro!!!!

  • Whats ridiculous is I think close to the proper mindset and tell my friends what I plan on getting for lets say my vest all they call me is a noob and they are the ones spending 2000usd on one gun just for the fun of it.

  • @theme57 Let them call you a noob. They will play with their tacticool gear and you will be developing solid skills and techniques with your "simple" gear and setup.

  • @millerusaf

Exactly, thanks Miller, its still surprising for me sometimes that they would invest in something tacticool that can shoot out to 300y - 500y when the average distances in the area are only 50-100 really.

  • @theme57 Something to think about is if use your weapon to defend yourself that weapon goes away also a good 2345 hundred dollar gun ammo/class money and the rest for the best lawyer you can get BEFORE you need them.

  • When I trained at Gunsite in 1986 under Col. Jeff Cooper he preached that the two most important aspects of gun play is the combat mindset, and the Color Code of Mental awareness. Good video frined.

  • Loved the intro man!

  • You browse Newgrounds, Miller?

  • @Makingnewnamesisdumb On occasion. I like their audio section and some of their flash movies are pretty badass.

  • @ millerusaf dude, i love that intro with the music

  • Rambo gets in the plane loads up all the new and great gear and then jumps out by the time he hits the ground he has a bow and a knife.Point being if I have to I will fight for my life with a butterknife I dont get the whole I need the tac gear to protect myself in my home.I dont think it helps much if you get shot in the face anyway. The best weapon you have is your mind and a understanding of where you live.

  • @snipervictim I completely agree. That is why in SF we do not wear a uniform in the field...we want to blend into the indigenous surroundings...that is not to say that we do not have the tools, it just means there is more to a "warrior" than pretending to be in an American action film hero in Rambo Gear. LOL.

  • @snipervictim I agree with what you're saying, but the Rambo reference just isn't necessary. Lol =)

  • Nice Opinion. Good Advice. Thanks

  • @miilerusaf I like the series idea miller,I reallly like the direction that you are taking your channel.

  • One very important part of this is Knowledge of Use of Force. You cannot know it all or enough about UOF!! This is a great start to a huge subject. Good stuff as always Miller!! What is the best handgun in the world? The one you have when the fight starts!!!

    Shoot,Move..........Live!!!

  • great video. i agree 100%

  • Love it!!!! Finally, a few channels are getting IT!!! You can just go out and buy a gun!! If you dont train, if you dont shoot several times or more a month, if you arent mentally and phyically ready to go, you are more likely to get into a situation that you cant get out of!!! Thank you for "GETTING IT"!!

  • cool new intro man! Might be getting a Mosin Nagant soon with my paycheck today. I could chop that down to a pistol right? lol have a great day dude

  • @TapRackBoom Mosin Nagant bolt pistol = A pistol with a huge fireball and excellent one-shot stop capability...lol.

  • @millerusaf lol yeah, catch them on fire and blow their chest open.... along with the guy 1 mile back!

  • @millerusaf Funny, but I really thought about a SBR Mosin =)

  • @TapRackBoom You're going to need some kinda of compensator....

  • @MavHunter20XX lol I might, i cant speak now, but I think i may be able to handle it, im a fairly big dude.

  • @TapRackBoom Not just the recoil but the flash and concussion it'll produce.

  • @MavHunter20XX yeah it might need a muzzle break for the sheer blast

  • @MavHunter20XX and some NFA paperwork.

  • @johnnyckrock Yeah, I was just thinking about that since it's be dramatically altered

  • @TapRackBoom Mosin Nagant bolt action pistol.LOL .. A pistol that is its own flash bang grenade. Smart thinking. Even if you miss with your first shot you have at least 10 seconds of everyone being deaf and blind to figure out what to do next.

  • @TapRackBoom its been done before, it called the "obrez" i believe

  • @TapRackBoom might want a wrist brace while firing that pistol haha.
