  • OK, nice 50 cc bike etc. but dude, painting it black doesn't make it Mad Max....sorry, aint trying to hate, had quite a few stepthrus and postie bikes as well as some bigger bikes, but the mad max reference rattles me if it isn't anything to do with the vehicles in the movie. Check my page if you'd like to see my car, I've got an XB coupe and I don't even like people going on about it being mad maxish cos its black (but NOT an MM replica) Sorry for being a bit anal, dude - ur bikes cool!!

  • @xbfalcon351coupe , You are not wrong with the statement. MAD MAX is legendary and to be respected. This little bike compared to all other production bikes of its era is a bad little 50cc. I know racer models put out 2-3 times the power, but will they do it for thousands of miles on an untouched motor? The factory colors for this US import were White with Pink and Teal accents. Girly to say the least. My comment was based on folks saying it looks like it was off MAD MAX, or that I Mad Maxed it.

  • @Champ1964 yeah no worries at all, mate, and sorry if my comment sounded a bit anal - I love having my car flat black so I get the mad max type comments all the time - but its not a look I'm chasing , I just like flat black! Same for you by the sounds!

  • @SmeurkeDeKat - I know, I really like being able to hear the motor in a way where you can sorta analyze its rhythm and hear its individual sounds...Thanks, JC

  • I have a speedfight which goes upto 17000 RPM :)

  • @EuroPowa yeah lies.

  • @thecrazyhenchman A standard not modified speedfight will do like 10000 RPM, maybe a bit less, just change youre carberator and nosel or whatever its called in English and youre upto 15000, new drive shaft or whatever its called in english and bam, 17000.

  • my moped is faster...

  • You wanna watch my dt lc doing 13500RPM?

  • Hello guy! I've just seen your video and I liked it because I remembered when I was young. I had had one SS50V made in 1972 and this was my unforgetable motorcycle. I think it because this perhaps had being my first real motorcicle. I had had one velosolex 3800 before I gain it. I think you won't believe, but to buy today one in Brasil, made in 1974 in good conditions you need expend around R$5000.00 (us$3,000.00) and you must seek paciently because there aren't very much.

  • I had a 1982 Black Honda MB5 I bought new for $513.00. The fastest speed was 54mph behind a semi on highway 29 between Manassas and Virginia

  • que poronga por favorrrrr

  • there was a v4 50cc which could do 120 mph i saw it on a program years ago but can,t remember what it was called but it was bulit by honda i think for a land speed record or something like that

  • I found one in Tokyo for 290000 Y.

BUT it would NEVER fit me.

Can you say "Hip replacement surgery ?" And I KNOW I would blow the engine eventually just like I took out my 160 Dream.

  • saw your site and the ultralite crash! OUCH! Thinkink of trading my beat up 85 trx 250 for a ns50 that could use some work. Think its a good trade?

  • NS in good working order is worth $650 in banged up shape to $1500+ like new. All depends on whatcha want.

  • ha ha ha:D monster hill before the left turn:D

  • ya its about 3% grade, you need that to hit 65. Runs 0ver 60 easy enough on flat ground with tight clothes, a good tuck and a hundred pounds less than me pilot. Makes a good running mate with a good running KE100.

  • Its a stock honda ns50 usa model 1990. You can pick one up for 600 - 1500 depending on condition. Faster than a stock Aprilia rs50 . Nothing like some of the actual 50cc racers though. Just a fun little bike

  • huh i use my derbi gpr to get to work every day... and sure as hell i wanna ride a kreidler van veen one dayXD

  • This shit's intense. How much did this beast run you ^^?

  • Is this like lawnmower racing?

  • More like a TeeD off weed eater!

  • we get nearly 29bhp out of minarelli 50cc engines, he honda engines here r a bit weak.

  • I know.. Its like the old derbi 50cc twins. awesome power. The little stock honda works so well and reliability is tops. I have seen 15k miles on a never overhauled mb5, I would imagine the ns will go atleast that good. Would love to hear a minarelli run. Post a video... Thanks, champ

  • About how many 1990 NS50's were made? I own one with some rare options like a tach, crash bars, full farings. I know they have the same motor as the NSR50's Yet who makes a really good pipe besides Kitaco an Calimari racing? Looking for a good pipe to run my 70cc Athena kit with... Your help will be greatly appreciated!

  • I really don't know how many, I would guess a couple thousand, two per dealer or more. I had a Tommy Crawford pipe for a while. I needed a bigger carb and was not willing to mess with the bikes utter reliability so I sold it. I rode with a ns1 with a 63cc kit, stock pipe, was a bit faster than mine, a consistant mph more, thats alot for these bikes. If I had weighed less than 270, that would have evened us out.

  • @naughty00e

If you mean 50cc mopeds going over 200km/h, then yes.

  • if i believe my eyes this is the only ns50 that i have ever seen that is all black and i ran accross it first on his website describing all of the bikes he owned and i also owned one and this bike loos stock to me also sounds stock ! when i was a kid the ns was a wheelie monster !! i attribuite the speed to the 6 speed gear box! awesome bike!

  • Yep,, thats me! My website too.. thanks for the comment!

  • Top Speed update 5/10/2008

78 deg F., wind calm, Rider 270 lbs. Via Garmin GPS 200W.

Straight and level 60 mph in a crouch for less wind resistance. Down a 3 percent grade I achieved 63.6 mph at 11,500 rpm indicated. Up the 3 percent grade average speed was 52 mph With a smaller liter rider I have no doubt the bike will sustain 60 mph easy enough and exceed 65 down a grade. All this with utter reliability!

  • my 125cc elimiator gets 70 tops, i beleive your bike can go 65 if it's going downhill, or you got some seious work done on the engine, i do lov your bike

  • Thank you, I had a 72 kawasaki g5 100cc that would hum up to indicate 70. As far as the NS, Riding in the mountains, up and down hills and with sharp curves and slow cars, I did 63 miles in 74 minutes and I weighed 240 pounds at the time.. that is a good average. I do have to be going down a grade to acheive the speed. It runs about 62 on level ground. BIKE IS STOCK with exception of sprocket and tires. I plan to do another film with the gps and a to prove this little rascalls might.

  • if u dont mind me inquiring what sprocket are u using....buying a ns50 and wondering what i should change it to

  • i dont think it runs 65 miles!!!! My 89er NSR just runs 60 km/h!

  • Sorry you must have a restrictor of some sort in your bike, either eletronic or some sort of exhaust plug. My Dream 50 would only run about 45kph untill I derestricted the ignition. Am not sure how the NSR's are geared either. Is this the MINI NSR? I have been passed by a YSR running 70, so sorry again, You must have some kind of restriction.

  • I habe the AC'08 and this Mokick has just 2.8 ps and it can't go faster than 65 km/h ;) I habe the exhaust pipe of an MBX 80 an some tuning parts but no 70 ccm kit an it just runs 65 km/h.

I think the guy in this video has has the MBX 80 engine or a 70 ccm Kit. The motor of the NSR 50 can't have without tuning more than 2.8 PS =(

  • no, I am the guy in the video, it is a stock NS50 with a larger sprocket and taller tires

  • they were imported in 1982 to US not 1990! And will not do 65 stock! Unless going down really bike hill! FACT

  • You must be thinking of a mb5 which was imported in 1982. I have one of those too. The ns50 was imported in 1990 "FACT". These bikes have water cooling and a 6 speed transmission. This bike will run about 60 on level ground and 65 down hill. Only alterations are an extra tooth on the front sprocket and a taller rear tire. Sorry, I don't know where you got your info but its incorrect. Champ

  • dude some guy told me his derbi 50cc with 24 carb and arrow pipe runs 90mph...i started laughing my ass off

  • Derbi's with a 70cc kit will get up into the 80s but not with 50ccs, Check out the bonniville salt flat records for 50ccs.

  • it wasnt like a legit record it was just him saying thats the fastest he has gone on a street...then i beat him with my rs50 with basically full metrakit everything...it was quite funny

  • Awesome vid! I bought my wife an NS50 and I love to ride it myself! Sometimes riding balls out around town on the 50 (@60mph) is more fun than putting along on my 599 at the same speed...

  • thats fake .. 125 cc could barely do that it looks like a 1000cc

  • What, are you kidding? That's NOT impossible for a 50cc. Not at all.

  • so are these street legal???? if im getting rid of my GSR40 to get one of these....

  • Yes these are street legal bikes in the us. Were only imported one year, 1990 but there are a million of them in japan/asia

  • 50cc n max 65 miles? ur lyin kurva

  • via GPS down hill, not flat.

  • wtf gps global positioning satellite g the fuk out

  • Taller tire and one tooth larger front sprocket has actually achieved 67 down hill via gps

  • è un polmone !!! hahahahhaha

nn cammina un cazzo !!! LOL

  • what a fantastic bike, a friend of mine has one, they are very very fast, 91 ns50, I plan to post a video of one soon.

  • Hi, Factory US model uses a 14t front sprocket. I use a 15. Not as quick off the line but gains a few mph on the top end. I have a friend who weighs under 100 pounds and she ran a 16t with much success.

  • whats an ns50?

is it basically a full power 50cc road bike; non restricted?

I have seen tuning goodies but never seen the bike!

I know the standard minarellis and derbi's have 8-8.5bhp which is good.

really good when u put fancy exhaust and big carb, u can get over 17bhp out of the 50cc and up to 29bhp from the 80cc kits!

I believe the tuning kits for the ns50 go to a similar power, with 28mm carbs, cylinder kits, etc.

  • If you do a google image search you should see an image. They imported them to the US only for 1990. similar bikes are the nsr50, same motor, the ns1 and the euro models.
