Your reply supplied my answer already, being that there is no legitimate research going on, only the preparation of a hunting schedule through hunting.

Further, I do not support whaling, whether scientifically acceptable or not, in this day and age. It may have been necessary in the past but is no longer so. Killing for luxury is not acceptable to me.

Australia has been seeking legal advice on its chances of winning such a case, don't know any more as yet.. Nevertheless, we'd be unlikely to do so for trade reasons even if we legally could .
