Please don't forget that Derren Brown is an entertainer, in reality all this proves is that things "can" be faked. During the Cold War Russia made experiments involving telekinesis which resulted in using microwave radiation to cause cancer by manipulating the magnetic field around human beings, or something scary like that ;).

You are talking about a "radiometer" Psi wheel in an evacuated glass tube, which uses reflected heat to make it spin. there are two black vanes and two white vanes. I had one as a kid and it fascinated me. Don't know if you can still get them, probably the health and safety have banned it or something.
