Well that would be Mr. Nigel Hall on keys and singing who is a badass... so that explains that. This crew actually throws down. I love Sco's unpretentious and unbiased approach to jammin. He could be some snobby jazz elitist... but he's not and I dig it.
I admire Scofield's fearlessness in surrounding himself with new (often much younger) musicians in a vast array of different styles. However, in this case I just have to ask, "Why?" ...definitely not my favorite Scofield, but still worth a quick listen. Thx for the post.
