@AutumnGracy: If you watch the "normal" movie, you'll see it too. It's in one of the first scenes just before it shows him giving students electric shocks to see if it can stimulate psychic abilities =)

this was shown on different Tv versions you never see the entirely same movie twice on TV they always add in scenes that you never see in the DVD this is one of them. amongst many

the original script for GB was set in the future and there were loads of ghostbusters, also stay puft came into it half way through

I think you're probably thinking of a deleted scene in gb2. Ray gets possessed by Vigo after they first visit the museum, and he takes the ecto 2 for a spin on the sidewalk in an attempt to run down a few pedestrians. I've never seen the whole thing, but a few bits of the scene ended up in the montage in the middle of the movie.

This came off of the Criterion CAV laserdisc, which doesn't have the Fort Detmerring scene. I would love to find that scene.

Basically, Venkman is talking about how he could win a Nobel prize if they'd figure out a way to "capture a ghost and hold it". One of Venkman's students walks by and he shouts "don't say hello, Lestlie" to her sarcastically. Then Stanz says that if they do create such a device, he and Spengler would be doing all the research, so they'd deserve the recognition. Venkman interrupts and says that he was to one who introduced Spengler and Stanz to eachother and that that alone is worth something.

SOME ? The Ghostbusters Films extended , alternate beginings , alternate endings , deleted scenes est. could add two new films in theaters.

Yeah. That sounds exactly like "some," in a "greater than one" sense, of course. In any case, a number of the lost scene weren't all that great. They would be interesting to see, but even the ones that are available are best left out of the film.

This is from the Laser Disc. I believe this is the only cut scene that was on the Laser Disc, but not on the DVD. There are some lost scenes that never made it to Laser Disc or DVD.

I do like Egon eating the chocolate bar and Venkman talking to the girl and the workman. It kinda makes the funny line of "but the kids love us" a little funnier!

Egon Spengler was the type of scientist, I think, who is caught up so much with science, that it makes it impossible to socialize with other human beings for him. Ray, I believe was kinda the nerdy, childish type of scientist and Peter is someone, who just likes to call himself a sientist and though has title, kinda isn't. So none of them pass as normal or average I guess, though it makes the bunch only more charming.^^
