This was IMHO a big success!

Thanks to BusasaurusRex, Trinith, sekhmet1098, and Mrs JimNtexas for a great afternoon!

I have some video, 90% of which is total crap, but I'll get something up tonight or tomorrow.

Trace and I had a great time. It was awesome meeting all of you!!

I would have gotten some video if I'd been smart enough to put the camera on the charger before I started reassembling the bike. Had a fantastic time with you guys, thanks for organizing it.

Something weird. Im subbed to you Jim but this vid didnt come up on my sub box. I just happened to check out your page randomly and saw it. Thats the second time its happened to me. Youtube weirdness? :/

Yes it def is. First time it happened was with smurfs vid and now yours. Yet rebels vid showed up today in my sub box no prob as did cip and vanflyheights. Very strange. I wish it was easier to contact youtube so i could tell them this.

I wish I could make it, its only about 6 hours from Lubbock!! Its my birthday on the 21st so ill be busy with other stuff. Dang really wish I could go!

FYI, here are the two locally owned restaurants in Buda that have good reviews:

Garcias Restaurant

104 S Main St, Buda, TX

Chavelo's Mexican Restaurant

108 N Austin St, Buda, TX

Any feedback on either of these?

I'm not familiar with either.. but I'm willing to give them a try if they have good reviews.

I know the Garcias in SM is awesome. Good food, cheap prices...it's owned by the same people so it's most likely of similar quality. They get my vote if only because I've never even heard of Chavelo's.

Right after I posted my last comment I decided to ride to Buda to check things out in person. Garcias looks like a better place than the other one.

Garcias is right next door to the downtown Buda post office on 104 Main Street. That's the place.

After the way I've seen you talk about the Sonic in Buda I gotta say, I was a bit worried you'd want to meet there. :P It's gonna be hot Sunday, I can feel it...but I'm also betting it's going to be a nice day. If anyone wants to ride more or less anywhere after the meet I'm game. Should be available all afternoon.

I might ride out to Buda, but I don't think I'll risk riding too much more beyond that given the damage (and I don't think Tracy's going to bring his bike down this weekend.. although he might prove me wrong, lol).
