  • Hahahahah 'this gay coffee shop called The Library'. I love that.

    "Where are you going, honey?"

"Nowhere, Mom! Just to the library!"

    "Oh. That's studious of you."

  • just saw foxfire cool movie i got gayer when i saw it :]

  • cool video i always had guy friends girls were to soft to hang out with and that made me realize that i was gay :]

  • I find it interesting that most gays had a special moment that was like "Ah I'm gay".

  • @mewarnyou Thats because of sociology making them grow to that moment thinking theyre straight.

  • @Digiscat I think you meant "society".

  • @elysssa6543211 And how would scoiety affect them? Sociology. /Cheap excuse to mask his mistake./

  • Oh man, Angelina Jolie in Hackers was the same for me. Thanks, Angie!

  • i have that movie, foxfire. feel the same way. always had guy friends didnt care to much for girl drama.

  • There sonething nex about you, i think you grow up. And become prettier each video! =)

  • good luck with shrinking your ears! my brothers were at an inch, and he had to get them sewn up for a job. it was terrible.

and your coming out story was awesome. i wish my parents were supportive. (:

  • you rock!

  • Your Mom is da coolest!

  • Dude. I NEVER hung out with boys. Still don't.

    I think thats why I didn't think I could be a lesbian.

    But now I've learned.

    I'm a total homo.

  • ikea much!?!?! <3

  • foxfire!! great film! great video xxx

  • just so you know i think that Mary B. is so lucky because your so hot! (just so you know your luck too because so is she) I like your hair....and everyone changes so you gauges don't matter

  • Even though people talk mad smack about David Lynch.... Mulholland Drive was my Foxfire. I remember that brain-buzz, hah! Being quite emotional in the movie theater, sitting there with my brothers and sisters around me, trying not to cry too hard because I'd just had an epiphany! :)

  • Foxfire, I haven't seen that in years!

    I'm remembering now.....ha good times! :)

  • SF FTW!!... gay maca :D

  • "Foxfire, and Miss Angelina Jolie. Cheers to you."

I just loved that. I love the Dove things because they are so positive what they say. So it is like 'Don't feel guilty about this chocolate, here's a messege to love yourself better'.

I am always afraid of asking a question for you because I am never sure what has or hasn't been descussed here on the beaver bunch, so I think I might wait until I've been through the archives and then ask later. But you are cool.

    Erin

  • I seriously love you.

    Seriously.

    <3<3<3<3<3<3<3!

  • you are basically...the BEST and i LOVE you! :)

  • your mom took it really well.

my dad looked so dissapointed and kept telling me he couldnt believe it and that made me feel really bad.

    i guess your lucky.

  • I LOVE Dove chocolates!!! lol

  • aww I'm glad your mom was so accepting =)

  • gia

  • you're wicked. :-)

  • I love how you're reppin' CT!!!!

As sad as it is, the L Word (yeah, don't judge) was for me what Foxfire was for you.

  • haha YES! foxfire - angelina jolie <3

    Cheers to her for sure.

  • that was posted on my birthday!

Loved your coming out story xxx

  • hottie.......

  • fuck yes my wife angelina joile turned another one with foxfire!!!!

  • yes,Jess~~~you Grow Out of It

    tell the kids ;)

  • foxfire is fucking awesome!!!! and I like the vHS insert. lol

  • I came out to my best friend today. So nerve-racking, although I've been chill with telling everyone for about a year. It was so great, she was totally awesome with it. And then with that 'I just told someone I'm gay and they're cool with it'-high, I blurted to my 13 year old brother I'm gay. HE WAS SUPPORTIVE. :)

The world is changing, I feel it in my bones. :)

  • Neat story. I chuckled when you said "turned on but not in a sexual way" and went on to say it was in your brain! Sex is in the brain too!

And I'm betting that in your lively and active brain probably more so than many!

  • Hello, Beavers! Here's a topic-related question: I went with several of my peers this weekend from Wisconsin to the National Equality March in Washington D.C. and it was amazing! Were any of you there, and what are your responses to it? Keep being awesome!

    Katka

  • I think I grew out of my piercing thing and short hair... and professionally I wanted to be taken more seriously. I feel like i can relate to you a lot :-)

  • you made this video the day i came out.

    wow.

you ar honestly one of the reasons why

i came out. some how you buit my confidence up. thank you so much.

i hope you see this and maybe reply.

    thank you again.

  • man, i wish my mom/family is as open minded and supportive as yours

  • my coming out stry... i came out to alot of ppl at once. i had told a couple but not everyne so on my 21st birthday i decided i would come out to everyone. i had a huge party wth dj and all. i got on the dj mic and said if your straight move to the right if ur gay move to the left and thn I moved to the left and i said if u dnt knw now u knw so lets all drink up!.. everyone cheered and askd questions ltr. everyone has been fine wth it ever since..

  • "omg i want to make out with the girls, that whyyy"

    hahaha best. line. ever.

  • i agree

  • JESS! your realization is so similar to mine, except for me, it was Willow and Tara (mostly Willow) during my first-ever viewing of Buffy the Vampire Slayer when I was 14...which happened during a sleepover with a girl who happens to both be my best friend and still doesn't know I'm gay. oh well

  • nice story!!

    ;)

  • Cool hat btw. :D

  • That's why both you and Mary B are perfect for each other... who doesn't love the Dove Chocolates? I once tried to collect and make a collage of all my favorite promise notes, but I kept getting the same ones over and that foil just rips so easily. I gave up for now, but one day, oh one day I will do it!

    Nice shirt ;).

I hope all is well with you two & the West, the East misses you both!

    With lots of love, always

    -Heathererer

  • oh we're coming back in november! i can't wait. i hope there's snow, i haven't seen that in years :)

  • It will be good to have you back over here.

I'm hoping it will snow tons over here this winter, since I am planning on going up North for the holidays it would be nice to see a good snow. Last time I seen snow was New Years Eve at Central Park last year. You want to talk about breath taking.

I'll do my best to make sure it snows at Thanksgiving just for you. I'll call my native friends and have them do a snow dance just for the two of you.

  • ahhg snow..

It snowed today here.. in America's hat

It is a day to day basis for me :P

  • I'm envious, not going to lie.

Not a huge fan of the cold but living in Florida I cannot help but be envious.

You are quite lucky dear. :)

  • What a sweet story!

  • hey jess love the video like always :) just wanted to stop and say thanks for doing them have a great week sweetie

  • Great video! Nice message in the end =)

There was no movie or book that "did" it for me, it was me suddenly realizing whenever I'd see a pretty lady I'd turn around to check her back.

    I know, right?

  • i think Mary made you girlier XD that happened to me.

  • awesome vid, awesome new look, awesome angelina story..You, Madame, are Upvoted!

  • Lucky... My family sucks at the whole loving me part.... makes me sad.

  • yep.. know what you mean

  • really? rainbow usually represents gay? hahaha... i remember way back in elementary i own a rainbow colored suspenders, take note suspenders, for that time i thought its cool. hehehe.,. i didn't know im gay back then. until now.

  • <3 your mum's reaction to you coming out. Awesome!

  • Foxfire, Anjelina... I love it....

And yeah... great that ur fam was suportive...

and ... oh well I loved the Priercings ...

    ~ I love the beaverbunch~ ;) :D

  • Hell yeah to Dove chocolate!!! the best one is 'Smile. Every 7 minutes someone doing aerobics pulls a hamstring!!'

  • You're mom sounds like she's really down to earth. You're so lucky.

And I realllly like your hair. :)

  • i love foxfire!!!

  • I love the story with your mom, I never get tired of hearing it.

Foxfire was basically all subtext, I always wonder what it's like to "discover a gay movie" nowadays where the movies can just be totally open about it, no subtext necessary (easier I guess.. but half of the magic is gone :p )

  • i looooove foxfire i have it on dvd yay!

  • one of your best...

  • vhs store..lol..i remember those. ty 4 sharing ur story...happy national coming out...oh and i still c rainbow belts!

  • I love you, i could listen to you talk for days.

  • Let us know how the ear-shrinking goes!! I've always wondered how much they really shrink. XD

Wow! Someone else who remembers what VHS is!! Haha~

I think it was my 15th birthday... I spent all day watching t.A.Tu. videos on YouTube. I watched V for Vendetta too, which has an awesome lesbian side-story.

I hadn't really noticed gay people before that and was subliminally questioning my sexuality for a long time since then. XDD

That's true about coming out for the rest of our lives. :-D

  • I coming out to my sister in 5 minutes im nervous as hell

  • how'd it go?

  • funny thing I leave my room to tell her and girl is passed out on the couch lol well I always got tomorrow I guess.

  • I went to the video store, which had dvds, and my little sister picked up some lame spy movie and I was like oh sure. So we watched it and it was super gay, it was DEBS. Before watching this movie I had only heard of gay people in a negative way and I even thought they were messed up. I guess that DEBS opened my eyes to the fact that gay people were normal and that I could totally become a spy. It took another year to figure out I was gay, but I think seeing that movie helped a lot

  • I think DEBS was the movie that did it for me too. It's what made me come out of denial I guess and realize that what I felt was normal

  • When you came out you showed how brave you were in the end! I applaud you for it! The world needs you to show the way to others as well!

  • my coming out story is SOO NOT that simple. i kinda wish it was.

  • mine either :/

    its still happening

  • those dove chocolates are bangin'!!

  • Comment removed

  • thats my hat ;)

  • Lord! I know what you mean about coming out everyday. A necessary part of any conversation about relationships. Sometimes the pronoun juggling just gets a bit old.

  • I'm a recruit from the 5 Awesome Gays channel. First time viewer. Great video!

  • that's fantastic - thanks for watching :)

  • just added to my coming out story tonight! finally told one of my best friends and she was soooo cool about it. i'm on such a high now

and also, yeah my coming out to myself was pretty similar.i think the seed about same-sex relationships was planted when i first saw queer as folk...then my "I'm so gay" moment came when i discovered the L word.lol thank god for HBO, eh?!

  • U r going to look even cuter with longer hair and smaller ears! : )

  • A. foxfire is amazing.

    B. don't be hatin' on the rainbows. i am, as i speak, wearing rainbow earrings.

    WOO!~

  • That was my reaction after watching DEBS! It totally opened my eyes.

  • Jess, youre awesome and ridiculously handsome no matter WHAT you do with your look! You make me smile! great video this week. :-)

  • that is the greatest coming out story ever. i havent come out yet so i cant exactly say how its gonna go but i know for fact my mom wont be as cool as your mom. man now i wish i hadnt of pointed out to my mom that rainbow stuff means gay haha

  • Aww! Haha. Same here!

  • me too I never thought it existed and then once I saw a movie I forgot what it was called..but then I couldn't get it out of my mind.

  • nooo not the spacers!!!!! oh well jess, still love beaverbunch

  • im a first time viewer and this was a really good video <333

  • rainbow belts were cool ? liar. lol

I love San Fran! I go there every year.

  • Ha. Yeah... I had a lip ring for about 6 months, then I had had enough! Too bad there's a small hole there now. </3

    Nice vid.

  • super cool hat :]

Jess and Mary Halloween costume show?? sounds good, right? :]

  • That is so great that your mother asked you first. Wow, how aware and wonderful is she! That's great Jess. My parents are very supportive and love my partner so I got lucky too. Great video!

  • Jess, Youre the reason I started wearing beanies =)

  • YOUR FACIAL EXPRESSIONS ARE AMAZING!!!! :D

    i love you! :)

  • Clever title. ha.

And that is crazy, you're mom is awesome.

  • ahhaha, rainbow belts are awesome! Who doesn't have one or two?

  • You're very blessed to have such a tolerant mom. I wish that more mothers were like that.

  • funny I had the same reaction to D.E.B.S as you did to Foxfire! I had no idea what the movie was about before hand... Jordana Brewter... cheers to you... daaang! haha

  • :) wonderful as always.

  • I hope my mum finds out in a similar fashion to your mum - that's awesome. :)

  • Hahahahaha I like the video story. Foxfire is a good movie!

  • Jess you make me smile when I watch your videos! :-))) I wish I had you guys 20 yrs ago,

maybe I would be out by now!!

  • In England its October 13th :D

And also 12.35am...but yeah that's a cool story. I now plan to watch that movie (:

    I told my family when I was 13. The responses were pretty much;

    Mum: It's a phase

    Grandparents: It's a phase

    Friends: It's a phase

    Dad: ...well...that's great :D

  • I don't think I've ever commented on any Beaver Bunch video...

Your story of coming out to your mother was really inspiring! I admire the relationship you and your mother have. You shared a small insight into it, but it's really telling of what a kind and nurturing person your mother is. I wish I had that.

  • <3 this video :D and i'll miss your monroe! and your hair looks awesome btw

  • Your coming out stories are inspirational, and make it seem easier to come out.

Im hoping someday I can come out to my parents/family except there closed minded and dont beleive in being gay that its wrong. But Im hoping someday I can do what you did coming out to yourself and to your mom.

Anyways awesome video,I love the Beaverbunch and also Mary B. Cant forget her :)

  • You're from the Long Beach area? Funny because it's like you and AJ just switched places. I think it's harder for someone to come out to themselves, than to others. (Personal opinion)

  • I still haven't gotten the chance to see Foxfire. But man do I want to!! Thanks for great video, Jess. Your coming out story was sweet.

  • wow i was exactly the same way growing up

i had one best friend that was a girl and i didnt feel comfortable chilling with her bc i wanted more with her so i just had guys as friends i was the same way

    adorable story about your mom

    and

i loved the little message at the end :)

  • Omg thats really creepy i have almost exactly the same coming out story too..... without the rainbow belt..... hehe

  • i was thinking of growing into the whole wearing a piercing thing.. not sure where though.. lol my coming out story to myself was through a dream. ya. i know. thats all im going to say. bahahaha

  • "october twelth'

  • i'm confused by your comment.

  • i thought you said twelfth (twelvth? 12th? twelth?) a little funny. but then i attempted to say twelfth, and it is damn near impossible for a woman of my intelligence.

    sorry, pearl.

    i feel like a bully.

  • i think you caught a glimpse of my little lisp :) it's rare, but it does happen sometimes when my tongue trips over my lips.

  • ohhhh

    i feel like a bully.

    shoooooooooot.

    im sorry, pearl.

  • WOOT WOOT first comment LOL
