for once us ps3 users have some creature comforts(sp?) in the whole 'top down' stuff. just a question though, in the menu isn't there an option under the controller tab-bit allowing you to make your own configuration?? i don't have a 360 so im just guessing.

Go to the settings menu, under controls. There you can map a button to that function. By defaults, it's not mapped to any button by the way.
