it is the greatest game in 1998 and i started play it in 2007 and i loved its graphic and the story and after that i played all its episode by buying orange box i will never forget this game and i cant wait the rest of the great story in HL3 or HL2 EP 3

wow this brings back some happy memories playing this game! love the atmosphere, games nowdays that show similar immersion are fallout 3, bioshock, mass effect,GTA4, MGS4 and dead space along with some others. Hopefully games that are due to be released such as 'the sequels' i.e(ME2, AC2, MW2) and other games like wolfenstein, dark void, singularity, dante's inferno and old republic will also show attention to detail in storytelling!

Yeah, remember when I first played this game... it gave me the creeps :P.. and I remember being completely astonished when I figured out I was on a fucking train and I could move during the "intro"! Fantastic game. One of the best games ever made.

Some of the general textures are better looking and the player models are MUCH better. The lip syncing also seems much more natural. But you must understand though that Blue Shift is a mod of HL. It's not an updated version of HL.

is there a way to get off the train b4 it reaches the destination, I remember seeing one intro video on here a door wouldn't open and the train went thru it and pushed the player out of the train and on to the area below

o yea, this video is lame. I don't know why, but it doesn't convey the darkness the game does for some reason. When you see it in video and its not interactive its somehow different...hmm.
