The reason Weaver had her operation was because Laura Innes was actually developing back and knee problems after having to walk with a fake limp for 10 years.
This is an amazing scene. All the years it is so wonderful to see her without her crutches. Throughout her years as part of the main ER cast her disability defined her. I think at this point she is finally done. And to think...she might not be there if it weren't for Mark Greene. Dang he was smart.
it's funny; after mark and rocket died, i started liking kerry so much more than i had beforehand. and then she had her surgery and i liked her even more. how does that work?
I think it's interesting how everybody else treated her walking unassisted as if it was a non-event. It seemed very natural, and not like they were trying not to make a big deal of it.

At first it bothered me that no one seemed to notice, but I also get what cubdukat means. Maybe the scene is better this way.
