As a former Div. I football scholarship player (UCF) and a guy who has done cross fit for over a year I think the strength and conditioning coach's technique is near perfect....great video Lee.
i love that there is someone doing bicep curls in the background of this video. For what particular sport would bicep curls be good training for, besides body building?
if you didn't know, i was talking about lee.haha, i don't know anything about the jason dude, but if lee hayward uses him in his videos, then he must know what he's talking about.
i'm pretty sure that a 240 pound body building competitor that deadlifts and squats more than twice his body weight knows a little about lifting weights. Criticize all you want, but his body tells no lie.
Great exercises great for core, strength, power. He's using so many muscle groups that you need a lot of oxygen to keep going so fantastic for stamina also..
i think you should be doing as many as you can.. if you can get 15+ reps, you should up the weight. unless you are wanting to for a higher rep in that set. i would suggest 3-5 sets. if you only get 5 reps and you wanted 10, just lower the weight.
6 people hit themselves in the face doing the snatch.

Regarding the bicep work in the background, trust me, strong biceps help a lot in "wrapping up" and hanging on to a strong running back.

Nope, not cleans at all. The weight goes straight overhead, not pausing at the shoulder.

You are better off doing multiple sets of lower reps for this kind of explosive training. To start off you could do 5 sets of 5 reps.

Low reps high weight for increased mass.
High reps low weight for high metabolism and muscle toning.
