one time on my NES i was playing SMB3 and it was SOOOOO weird, standard mario started spinning, the cloud like things were going everywhere, then it just froze. O_o maybe it was a tilted cartridge. (Idk what that means) but it could be. =P

Nestopia is really finicky when it comes to codes. I use Nintendulator, which allows any Game Genie input. The downside is that, like the real thing, you can only enter three codes and you have to re-enter them every time you load the game.

I tried Nintendulator and it was very weird. I had trouble opening the ROM, it said mapper whatever was invalid.

Oops, it only changes teh music a wittle bit. Well, it alows as many codes as the game can handle but every emu is different.

It means either the emulator can't handle that type of game card (often happens with pirate cards) or there is something wrong with the header of the ROM file.

@ElBlocko Try FCEUX, you can even do things a standard game genie won't do. Like hex editing the RAM. You can even glitch up sounds, I've managed to get Atari-like sounds when killing an enemy with the Fire Flower in SMB.

Hi again ElBlocko, or dare i say, ElBlockorino! As you know, I'm a major fan of your work, but I must ask, have you stumbled across any SMB3 codes that fuck up the music in a major way? This is an area i have much interest in as I believe there is much to be gained from a glitched out 8 bit rom.

I tried finding a genuine SMB3 music code for a while, but I got frustrated when the game constantly would either crash upon entering a level or would just refuse to load altogether. I should really get back to it sometime...
