Iirc, low attacks work better for removing his plates. But I guess it doesn't matter much.

really? I thought it was the high attacks that did it. I remember fighting him the past and his plates seemed to come off faster with high attacks so honestly I don't know.  Ha well like it matters anyway, you know how immobile velvet can be with ground attacks anyway XD

I level grind. I spend way more time than I should have leveling up. Each map usually has a few good rooms were you can gather ingredients for cooking or seeds for growing plants that boost your hp level.
