shes fine, but its just so sad to see tht ppl arent as good on beam anymore. both nastia and shawn were amazing, especially nastia made it seem so effortless and like a dance. here its all stops and pauses and just so different. she's good, but the difference is just huge.
@kittyluverr98 Well she was born in 1994 ,september 30. but this was somewhere in march i think or earlier..or maybe later haha , but when she was competing here, she was 16,so now she's 17.
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Hm,i never really thought about this routine and the score, but there were like 3 balance checks that are from 0.1-0.3 and of course crossed legs and a step to the side on the dismount. which would probably be (together) 0.2 or 0.3...Soo...yeah, i guess she was a bit underscored...
@LoveGym96 Ah, that must be it. I searched online and found her score was A: 6.300 B: 8.566 Total: 14.866. She would've had a 6.6 if they credited it as a triple (.2 for the triple being worth more and .1 for CV) and then obviously the front cartwheel wasn't counted as connected to the Onodi. Her maximum for this routine is 6.7.
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 It can't been seen clearly from this angle, but it looks like the switch ring doesn't show enough height, so it's downgraded to a D. The aerial cartwheel to switch leap connection was a close call, so I guess they didn't credit that either. And of course, her triple twist was incomplete so she lost 0.3 on the dismount for a D score of 6.3. If she hits absolutely everything, she can score as high as 7.2!
@AnnaPavlovaFan 7.2? Oh wow. For some reason I'm only getting 6.9 for this routine if she gets credited everything she's attempting...Yeah, I took the time to calculate it and they must've not calculated either haha.
@AnnaPavlovaFan She's been training a BHS (or another B skill) out of the standing arabian for another +0.2. I've actually miscalculated the potential D score; 7.1 would be her absolute best, so your 6.9 is spot on!
@markoth97 Porgras would win. She fell on her ff+ff+layout series so she didn't get the 0.2 connection value she would normally get. So her score would be at least 15.0 without the fall.
@KMoney3187 Falling is a sign of weakness. You are underestimating the skill it takes to stay on the beam; that itself is an accomplishment over the rest of the gymnasts.
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 I am happy Wieber won. I'm actually kinda surprised by how this worlds turned out. So many surprises, and a new world champ on every event! Wow! And back to the AA, When i was reading the live updates from gymnastike and blythe lawrence in the morning, i saw that Komova was almost a point ahead and i was ready for her to win. But then i come home and see that Jordyn won and i was like "...............umm"
@KMoney3187 I'm shocked at the judging... You must've seen many of my comments around (I'm pretty open about my opinions XD) and you know how I feel haha. The judging was pretty terrible. I still can't fathom Huang Qiushuang's 8.2 in qualification... Vault was the only event that was scored fairly, in my opinion. Well, I was surprised enough to see Komova with an Amanar (never landed well) and to qualify in first! I had made my mind after quals that she wouldn't win... But I feel she deserved it
@AngelCutums Thats sooo not true ;) at training and podium practice they do it all the time and sticking it almost always, like a double pike they learn when they are 10-12, at age 15-16 they still can make some mistakes, its just normal ;) sorry for the bad english.
was that a triple twist ???

@alaaabdelra7man It's supposed to be. That was more like 2 and 3/4.

no matter how good the gymnast, almost everyone wobbles on turns.

I'd actually say this is a bit underscored... Did they not count the switch ring?

@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Maybe they counted the dismount as a 2.5

@ShawnVikaKomova2012
i think her dismount was not round.....they counted it as a 2.5 twist......
at least, thats what I suspect
MrJST94 2 months ago
@MrJST94 Yes, I suspect that as well after evaluating this further. Thank you.
ShawnVikaKomova2012 2 months ago
You dont know that, because Pogras scored 13.800,so without a fall it would have been 14.800 and that is still lover than Aliya's score.

@AngelCutums im not underestimating anything. im just taking note that had everyone else not fallen she would have lost.

@KMoney3187 Actually, she still would've won.
