That's not true, hard calculations are the only weakness Kim has regarding his memory.

You are not correct about it being his ONLY weakness. Kim Peek has many weaknessed due to his totally missing corpus collosum (the part that connects right and left sides of the normal brain). Kim has tremendous problems due to the way his brain functions as basically a massive recall device. I'm sure someone has explained to him many times that he does not understand people and or have the the ability to remember that he is incapable of figuring out what people are thinking. He is robotic.

Yes, agreed. Of course his memory is outstanding and amazing. The theory is that his missing corpus collosum has allowed all of those neurons and brain connections that should have been dedicated to that , are free to be used elsewhere creating very unique and impressive memory pathways to parts of the brain rarely used by average people.

He probally does not have his own opinion on the "origins of the universe",why would he? he isnt Stephen Hawkins. If he has not read about it he wont be able to repeat it. He has a 98% memory retention. He simply repeats all the information he reads, and thats alot, over 7000 books, two pages at a time at 8 seconds a page, but thinking out of his memory bank maybe isnt something Kim does too often.

He has no ability to think conceptually like that. If he read Steven Hawkings book, he could recite it word for word, but he could not digest the information and restructure it in such a way as to give his own analysis, such as one would do when contrasting competing theories. He simply can repeat facts or information that he read. He cannot even understand common phrases like "Get a grip on yourself". He laughs and graps himself physically and thinks he is understanding, but he can't.
