Later, when the lion get,s bigger the other fishes will be gone lol.
Thats what poeple don,t realize. And after that they release them into the ocean! That,s why we have a big issue down here in Florida these fish are not native! And there are no natural Predator!
So, if you read this and you allready have a Lion problem, kill the fish! By the way, is very good eating!
Looks nice! I am just getting into sea aquariums. I love sealions and clown fish. No idea if that goes together! :P (no worries I will read alot before starting it;)
Hi there, the only poisonous part of the lion fish is the top spine which, it impails when charging at another fish otherwise no fish wont die if they touch it but most wont get that close as lion fish are great predators and swallow most unfortunate fish quickly without them even realizing lol
@derek15476 Hmmm. Well I bought a Bird Nosed Wrasse and my Lion Fish ate it. $55 fish for lunch! Took him two weeks to digest it. Depending on how big he is when you buy him maybe not but if he starts getting bigger, you might want to consider getting a nano tank for the Dwarfs. Their mouths can open up pretty wide!! Please post video of your tank when it's done. I'd love to see it.
Lion fish grow quite fast upto about 7" i find if fed correctly & then slow down however, hippo's are the other way in my opinnion as all the ones ive kept seem to be slow until about 3" then grow fast. hope this helps
Yeah i have been contemplating this as i lost a regal angel about 4 months ago due to it getting stuck at the front, real bummer but i've just ugraded to a 225 Gallon where it doesn't look so obvious.
Damn, that's a 100 gallon tank? That thing is huge. Very impressive. How much did it cost you?

you don't have problems with aggression between the two tangs and also the two triggers? do your triggers nip at the lionfish?
deeboi619 3 years ago 3
No never have any problems with aggression, just the usual occasional chase and no ones got the balls to aggrivate the lion fish(godzilla).
Thanks for your comments, really appreciated.
SkilfulLeader1 3 years ago
