  • Hibernating bear: Zzzz.... *dreams about driving a car with 1 hand driving like a pro*

  • Imagine his morning breath.

  • zzZzZzZzZ

  • Ohmigod, what an absolute cutie! I also wish that I could sleep beside this Spirit Bear in the den he most likely created so ingeniously. Bears are so smart, in how they live and survive; they are so amazing! So sweet, how he looks up and yawns so widely. Bless you, darling Bear and may you enjoy a peaceful winter's sleep!

  • I want to sleep with him in his den...

  • thanks for posting this :)

  • Oh,migod, do I love that sweetheart of a bear! Just look at him yawning, so sweet!

I'd give anything to cuddle up with him! If I could have a bear as a pet, believe me, I would do so! Love ya, sweet baby bear!

  • i think the bears move around this much coz theyre sleeping on rocks and fat

  • This is great! Thanks for sharing.

  • ever read the book spirit bear by Ben Mikaelsen? i find it very good.

  • Yes, I need to create a link to his books, soon, this bear keeps me running.

His stories are full of life lessons worth learning.

  • Wish they'd just call them kermode bears, or more accurately, white-phase black bears. Giving them a touchie-feelie name like spirit bears anthropomorphizes them, and makes this a little too "Winnie the Pooh" for my taste.

They're wild animals, and they shouldn't be made to look approachable, touchable, and certainly not 'feedable'. Next thing you know, someone will be naming it. Oops, too late .

  • I didn't realize bears moved around this much while hibernating

  • Yes, it's like us when we sleep, we don't just lay there like stones.

  • So is he aware of his movement, or it's more of a "sleep walking" type of thing?

  • I think he's too hormone doped to be aware of much. When moose munch near his den, he liefts his head up, but doesn't look totally alert, dopey looking, glazed eyes, falls right back to sleep.

  • i want to cuddle that bear, even though that wouldnt end well.

  • Poor guy wants to be left alone :P

  • im not 100% on this but arnt spirit bears white?

if im mistakin or somthing could you explane

  • it is white as a matter of fact, the slight shades of brown you see on its coat might just be dirt from rolling around in that hole

  • ooh ok then i see thanks i was starting feel a bit stupid

  • Spirit Bears range from pure white to beige to cream to salmon, depending on fishing season. Apollo has red and cream and his butt is dark.

  • LOL his butt is dark eh? Go wonder why.

  • I think it's from him sitting in the swampy mub while chomping on the lovely berries. Mud-Berry stains. Could just be genetic.

When John Hancock photographed the rainbow bear (half kermode, half blue bear) I thought maybe Apollo was one, but no, he just has a dirty rump.

  • it must be great trying to sleep while being video taped..

  • @roygbivniz Yea... Cause bears really care or even are aware of video recording technology. Its an unmanned camera.

  • @BTTHEBAND thanks, i really needed you to tell me the obvious.

  • This is pretty exciting yo

  • Seriously, who'd wanna watch him hibernate live? He's just sleeping!!!

  • Seriously, who'd wanna watch him hibernate live? He's just sleeping!!!

  • Thats one dirty spirit bears ... its turned brown

  • I'm great in bed. I could sleep for hours.

  • I'd be great at hibernating.

  • it would be scary if someone walks pass it without knowing its there

  • @F1nir ... Only an American would do that.

  • Sleep well, spirit bear. You make me wish I could snuggle in and then emerge in spring, much thinner.

  • Somebody shut the door, IT'S FREEZING!!!

  • @Kronikwisdom hahahaha wow

  • Lmfao just tackle the bear then run like hell.

  • black bears can run 40kmph

  • I can run 70kmph

  • AHHHHH SO CUTE!!

  • Looks like a lazy teenager.

  • lol, thats me on monday mornings

  • Wow! Thanks for posting this.

  • Don't see to many videos when animals are tuck away for the winter. Good capture on the video.
