@RMCKIE idk why ppl do this. lap ban is SO much better. this makes it possible for u to stretch ur stomach where as lap ban, u literally cannot eat more than u should. i had it 2 yrs ago and ive lost 100lbs. it's also more healthy. u dont have to have a new diet like gastric bypass. the only thing u cant eat is pinapple and lettice.

But more and more people who aren't severely overweight are having this surgery. It is for vanity reasons. It is a shame because there are so many complications that can come from this surgery. You can actually die due to complications from this surgery.

You are right, I am not too informed. But I know a few people who have had this problem where they had it done and they had to go back to the doctors because they got really sick. Dangerously sick. I also know someone else who got it done and started to lose more than the weight. She started losing her hair as well. She didn't look well at all. She had several complications and had to be hospitalized.

There are many complications with this surgery such as nutritional deficiencies (because the time at which the food stays in the small intestine is shortened e.g. calcium in the duodenum), dumping syndrome (vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness...) and infections.

Thisis true. You need to be loyal to your post-op follow-up. But I don't regret it.
