  • I don't care what any one say, i'm keeping my food in my tent.

  • @Blackwater200 That type of thinking gets people and bears killed. Why would you risk your life to keep your food in your tent when they often provide bear safe containers?

  • @MrFloppywaffles I was joking....LOL!!

  • gotta have my pops...

  • Mmm.. Sleeping bag

  • 0:51, Grizzly Bear: WHY WONT THIS THING OPEN!?!?!?!

  • 2:20 mmm....gotta have my pops!

  • 0:52 ohh no its not breathing :O:O MUST SAVE COOLER

  • To the dingus who replied to me. First off all bears are related. Saying that grizzlies or kodiaks are subspecies is just stupid. Further when you state that grizzlies get to be about 400 lbs, that tells me that you're not only stupid but a complete idiot. Black bears get to around 400 pounds sometimes more, browns up to 800 with anamolies reaching almost 1200 lbs. Grizzlies are significantly larger than browns. Grizzlies have been recorded up to just under 2 tonnes. 400lbs? What a joke.

  • 1:20 i gotz a pot

  • the one bear was like gota have my pops

  • these are brown bears. Grizzly bears look scary and their jaws are about three times as large

  • @TheRealSuperSlayer errrr...The Grizzly IS a Brown Bear (as is the Kodiak and several other sub-species). In North America, there are Black, Brown, and the Polar Bear, which is closely related to the Brown (Kodiak, specifically). The Grizzly can be quite small, under 400 lbs. These two are pretty average for a non-coastal Grizzly.

  • BAD BEAR, BAD BEAR, WHAT'S GONNA DO WHEN THEY COME FOR YOU?

  • Hi! Have you guys seen the video of Watoto pacing at WPZ!? Kept in captivity most of their lives. Little Hansa dies of herpes. Who's next?

  • "Darn, no people or honey in this tent!"

  • Ok, thanks for the tip: I'll make sure never to camp inside a brown bear exhibit at the zoo.

  • Just a samplin;)

  • it looks like those bears were exoeriened with camp bashing , to funny

  • hehe Ive seen that in a few camp sites.. its very entertaining when its not your camp..

  • aww! they're so adorable! especially that handsome fella that picks up the pot. he's gonna cook himself a salmon!

  • I love bears. they are amazing creatures.

  • God did you see what that beer did to the chilly bin. My god.

  • thats why i use my Bear-Proof trailer in camping area but i dont have to worry about bears around our trailer is 30 ft closeure plus 10 ft is steel cage for cool in back ot trailer it let me out of and look if any bear around then i unlock cage door then out somewhere if i saw bear comes i run into cage for safety

  • Whoever made the title did a bad job, the guy said they're brown bears.

  • Hey guys when you go camping in Montana do what the Indians do to avoid bears tearing up your stuff - sleep in a Cadillac!

  • What was the contour length and other measurements of the largest Polar Bear you measured in your field study Darren?

  • This is why I will never go camping.

  • And that is why you are a pussy shit.

  • Yet more typical brown bears that are obese in captivity...their frame size dictates a bear of 550 -700 lbs at normal build.

  • @nordhorny That would be a normal size for a european brown bear. A Kodiak grizzly can exceed 1200 lbs. As for obesity, they're supposed to be twice as heavy right before hibernation as they are when they emerge from it— the difference being pretty much all fat. These are healthy bears.

  • SamDay - Hi, my name is Darren I have recently completed my Zoolgy PhD and have studied ursidae and felidae extensively....

NO - 550-700 lbs is well beyond the average range of the european brown bear. A 'Kodiak grizzly' does not exist and quoting its weight is irrelevant here. Your point about hibernation is irrelevant - these bears are in captivity, they DO NOT hibernate and as a consequence, their continuous excessaive fat bulk is detrimental to their health.

  • This zoo is less than a mile from my house, but I see that I was mistaken. I thought they were Kodiak bears. I understand that that is not a different species, but that brown bears from that island do grow to be considerably larger than their mainland cousins— the record hunting kill being over 1600 lbs.

  • The record you refer to was for a grizzly and its actual weight was 1200 lbs, it stood 10 ft 6 in tall NOT 14 ft tall as claimed across the internet. Grizzlies are a separate subspecies from the kodiak.

  • I realize not all statistics on the internet are reliable, and hunting and fishing claims are legendarily exaggerated. I thought I had read that one on Wikipedia's entry for Kodiak bear, but now I see I must have read it somewhere else. There is there, however, and excellent explanation of the difficulty in measuring bears, and how it is more properly done with skull measurements.

  • There are specific zoological techniques, before my PhD, I completed an 18 month field study in Canada studying Polar Bears. There are exacting techniques and standards for measuring bear lengths and weights. Skull measurements are given for lateral and longtitudinal axis.

  • So just saying 10 feet tall is nearly meaningless.

So, did you go to Churchill? or is that just for tourists?

btw, how's the bear population in the UK these days?

  • 10 ft tall is not a zoological measure, no. Length from tip of tail to tip of snout is. Churchill as a scientific base, local community and a tourist destination. Are you being funny about the UK bear population ?!

  • I know there were bears in England at one time, but I wouldn't expect to find more than a couple of terrier sized pooh bears in Snowdonia now. As far as I know, the brown bear populations in europe are confined to the Pyrenees, the Apennines, the Balkans, and Sweden. Am I wrong?

  • God how big did those suckers get.? Ive heard that Kodiaks are pretty darn close in size as well.

  • How big do what get ? Kodiaks close in size to what ?

  • Sorry mate polar bears was the comparison.

  • 1.Polar

    2. Kodiak

    3. Kamchatka brown

    4. Grizzly

This is the size order of the top 4....

  • 1. Polar

    2. Kodiak

    3. Kamchatka brown

    4. Grizzly

This is the size order of the top 4...

  • @nordhorny norhorny! havent talked to u in awhile! btw isnt it arguable the kodiak is the largest bear?

  • why do these bears have African names?? AMERICAN grizzly bear. you name lions and tigers and shit African names not the grizzly bear

  • Uh there are no tigers in africa.

  • @Bernard0512 Thank you. I was going to say the same thing. Unless, of course, you're at a zoo in Jo'burg or Cairo, etc. But then again, a lot of people think Africa is a country.

  • just shows where we as a species stand doesn't it? And by the way isn't Africa a country?

    Lmao jk

  • @imjohnandyouare They're Alaskan names. Denali, for example is the name of the big national park in the middle of Alaska, where we find the highest mountain in North America: its called Mt. McKinley in english, and Denali in the local native language.

  • typo - 'Zoology'...

  • Heya booboo i found us anotha pickanic basket!!

  • they are looking for food

  • thats 1st guys a pro at opening that blue box

  • haha why are they destroying everything?!? there's no food in a sleeping bag!

  • they shouldnt have put a plastic bag there. the bear could choke

  • lol, Coleman will have to start making bear weight rated coolers. Because if you know it can handle a bear, you know it can handle your morbidly obese aunt Tildy. lmao

  • We saw the remains of a camp site torn up by bears in Hope, Alaska, Aug 08. We were in a motor home and could hear the bears roaming around in the brush! No fun in a tent. We saw the bears leaving, fishing in the river and recorded them.

  • The anouncer says the're brown bears, not grizzly bears, fix the title.

  • grizzlies ARE brown bears.....they are one SUBSPECIES of the brown bear !

  • That's funny. Don't feed da bears.

  • 2:25 "gotta have my pops"

  • wow...hahah...great video !

  • Bears are something else!!!

  • "Now folks, for a special surprise, we're gonna show you what it's like when a grizzly bear stumbles upon an occupied camp space with live human beings"

  • @PunchDLove Dumb idiot, grizzlies stay out of people's way and avoid them, they would take the food but not harm people if they came accross camp.

  • Those are Seattle show business bears...They had a couple of Latte's then tore up the "camp"

  • Even bear`s gotta have a coffee in the morn`!

  • how cute!

    griZZly BeaR

  • One stomps on the tent, while the other eats the sleeping bag. Just beautiful.

  • thats an awesome enclosure

  • the bear was giving cpr to the cooler lol!!!

  • That video is silly. Those bears are being gentle. That junk is set up in their home; in the ZOO! Yes, a bear could do that to your camp if you're not careful what to do. But those bears wouldn't be interested in killing people. For each person killed by a black bear attack there are 13 people killed by snakes, 17 by spiders, 45 by dogs, 120 by bees, 150 by tornadoes, 374 by lightning, and 60,000 by humans.

  • wow you can count..... retardation lol

  • For Bears sake. See then in a Zoo., Learn from the wisdom of those who love the wild Bears. A Bear is like the ultimate Dog when it comes to appatite. U feed them and you get this bonding feeling much like those arsholes who think they can interact with great white sharks. A bear is ruled by its caloric intake. Outside of that Russian Roultet is a game for begginers. Respect them and love them for what they are. NOT HUMAN And very able to eat Human.

  • They over feed those bears, they are to fat.

  • bears need to fatten up for hibernation season.

  • bears are anarchists. They just dont care about personal property or the feelings of loss we humans must carry around with us after our stuff has been destroyed. How cruel and un-just the bear world is.

  • I have that same cooler. Darn it....I can't seem to find mine now....that must have been it.

  • cooler, lol....

  • staged... in real life it would be much scarier

  • they should leave the bears alone if you are camping in bear territory u are asking for trouble

  • 0:50 the bear was like, how you open this box?? :)

  • growing up in northern ontario the understanding of bears has changed alot since the 50zz and 60zz, One time people would feed bears from cars or on the side of the road, That type of thinking took some time to get out of peoples heads, But now and then you see some dumbass feeding an animal that in a heartbeat can rip them apart. Strange how stupid some people are thinking they would know what to do in a bear attack, Most attacks are by blackbears who have come into contact with people.

  • yeah thats what it used to be like in alberta to. im not sure about there, but here if your caught you get serious fines.

people wonder why bears come into people territory and alot of it has to do with carless people feeding them or leaving garbage out. then someone gets killed, then they think wildlife officers should be out hunting them down, which thinking about it people caused the bear to attack.

  • Those bears are reckless!!!!

  • 00:53 - "WTF, the cooler is locked. I want my brewskis!-2

  • dude no one can fight grizzlys

you just need muscles to fight the black bear

  • I actually got to set up that camp in their enclosure. We've done the Bear Affair at the zoo for a few years, and get to handfeed the bears (through the cage, obviously). They are enormous up close!

  • i could fight those bears with my bare hands

  • yeah!

  • LOL JUST LIKE A DOG

  • this is illegal trespassing, they should call 911.

  • A lot of people can learn from this, these bears are not in shape like a wild bear would be though. I would not like to be awakened at night by a grizzly looking for food in my camp.

  • it's my belief that the animals of the world are tired of humans mistreating them ,you just know in thier own way, they are rooting for our extinction

  • they got the taste of human food and now do what they can to eat it

  • I almost forgot the comment made ,it was 5 months ago,I stick by comment of animals in thier way, rooting for our extinction, hell If I was them,id be rooting for extinction,we say we care for animals, yet our actions continually show otherwise,

  • cute

  • moral of the story. don't go camping in grizzly country with out the .30-06 or the AK.

  • you might want something a weee bit more substantial than an AK in grizz country...

  • It looks like he's doing cpr on a cooler at :59

  • If they did that to MY camp, I'd take them bears down and give them a GOOD spankin'!

  • Man, he even went after the food that was tied up off the ground. Sometimes bear canisters are the only way to go.

  • I love how the bear opened that container

  • LoL what a fat asses

  • go go bears!

  • i can fight those bears with my bare hands

  • hahahaha ya right

  • That thing is a fatass..

  • not as fat as you ha ha

  • those are NOT grizzly bears, they are brown bears.

  • thay are the same thing

  • pretty good cpr at 52 seconds no?

  • yep... ribs pretty messed up, but the heart`s still pumping!

  • Brown bears are always being mistaken for Grizzly bears. I teach hunter safety and you have to pass an BEAR identification test given on-line BEFORE you are given your certification for a hunting license. If you are anyways confused over these speices, take the test for yourself....it's free.

  • doxzens4ever Please tell us what planet are you from? Since when do you have go online to get a hunters license? By the way the Grizzlies are also called Brownbears. Both Grizzlies and Blackbears come in different colors and The name Grizzly or Black bears are both are slang names anyway's Grizzlies are Ursus Artus Horribillous, black are Ursus Arctus Americanous 2 common species of bear. There are about 17 Sub species of black bear and 4 of the Brownbear.

  • What? No! No no no! Black bears are a separate species from brown bears (and thus from grizzly bears). They're Ursus americanus, most assuredly a different species.

  • lol when the bear was pushing down on the ice chest it reminded me of The Great Outdoors scene with the bald headed bear & John Candy.

  • Yeah that was Doug Seusses Bear named Bart. He died back in 2000. Bart also starred in the movie called " The Bear" Bart also was in the movie legends of the fall" starring Brad Pitt.

  • i got attacked by i grizzly bear for 4 years ago i killed it and cried after :( dont like to kill animals just killed it to save my life (cry)

  • Amazing! These animals are so beautiful. Bears are awesome.

  • Damn straight.

  • They're BROWN bears, not grizzly bears. The guy even says "Welcome to the brown bear exhibit..."

  • brown bears and grizzlies are the same thing

  • Wrong. they are 2 different sub species of bear.

  • Brown bears are the species (Ursus arctos), grizzly bears are a sub-species (U. arctos horribilis) of brown bear. The taxonomy of the brown bear is admittedly debatable, but traditionally there are three subspecies of brown bears considered to live in North America - the grizzly bear, the kodiak bear (smaller range, fewer in number), and the mexican grizzly bear (probably extinct). So...these are definitely brown bears, and almost certainly grizzly bears.

  • No Palomo. Brownbears and grizzlies are both the same Ursus Arctus Horribilous, Kodiaks are Ursus arctus Meddendorfi,

  • Kodiaks are the Subspecies of bears because of thousands of years of isolation off the Alasken Penninsula with abundance of fish and low competition the Bears grew larger than there more common species the Brownbear or Grizzlybear.

  • no thay are the same thing just diffrent names

  • Chocolate pudding and diarrhea are both brown...does that mean they are the same?? IDIOT.

  • If they are subspecies of the same species, it means they are part of the same species. Duh!

  • Sure...just like Sumatran vs. Bengal tigers...but there ARE differences. The difference, if I am not mistaken, between a Kodiak and a Grizzly is about 200 lbs and a large hump on the shoulders.

  • Yes elburrodiablo correct. Kodiaks the largest american Bear were confined to much smaller areas than the Brownbear so the biggest get to mate weening out the smaller bears in contrast the Brownbear with all of alaska canada and parts of america can roam with less chance of incountering another male during mating season so the smaller bears survived.

  • elbur chinese Indian and italian people all have black hair does this make them not human? If you would like i can name off every existing Bear species in the world. By the way a Polarbear and a Grizzly can produce cubs called Golarbears.

  • Very cool! Is there a higher-quality version of this available anywhere?
