A little FYI for you johnny- come- lately hipsters, this place has been called "the flume" since my grand pappy was a boy. It's also a great place to take your kid fly fishing down below - awesome for german browns-although it seems to be getting trashed up more and more the past few years. Dont forget to respect what it is, what it was, and what it should be for the future, so that all can enjoy.
It is just a single wave off in the desert (colorado IIRC, but I don't remember) that forms due to the way a drainage was built. It is only a few inches deep at the front of the boat though! Still, a fantastic feature.
