I crate dig.. so got to learn ALL sorts of music long before my time and stuff I'd never know, I do it far less now because of sample clearance.If people just listen to what's solely out today and without knowing it's roots.then that's a pity, it should make people want to explore more. Sparx12 your 20? by that age I'd been producing music for 3 year (and been remixing for about 10 years now).. so I know exactly how "difficult" it is to make a tune like this. a LONG bit of sampling and a fair bit of filtering on top.. then add a drum loop. He's just going for the angle younger people won't hear it. I could have ripped off this classic tune back in 92 IF I wanted. So with tools like recycle + ableton + cubase it's FAR from difficult.

tony,why?because it's a song I think that shouldn't have been touched as the original is great I do the odd remix and my own work. Back then sampling (clearance) was less of a minefield than it is now also.These days it's FAR easier to do , with the above tools I mentioned + no sample ram limits. Taking say 6 seconds at most if I sample, back then BUT totally changing it to something new. that's creative sampling and well alas this is just blatant lifting with a bit of filtering on top.
