@sovietananthu No. desperado is part two and once upon a time is part 3. "El mariachi" (part one) which started it all has NO antonio banderas and was made in spanish. The movie is still great though, worth watching, it shows how he went from musician to gunslinger.The mariachi is played by the guy who played the guy with the machine gun guitar case in desperado. So remember "El Mariachi" is part one and if you havent seen it ...watch it.

I thought Desperado is a remake of El Mariachi. The way Evil Dead 2 is a remake of Evil Dead.

@ajthedj Its not though, thats why "desperado" has flashbacks of "El Mariachi". Thats why in desperado he is searching for revenge from the guy who employed the druglord he killed in el mariachi. Its about him not getting satisfaction from killing his grilfriends murderer so continues to kill everyone who was remotely involved with the druglord.Heck, if he wouldnt have met Hayek and forgotten about Consuelo he would have eventually gone after the colombians haha

@ajthedj Wait Evil Dead was actualy a remake of one of Sam Rami's movie. He made a movie before evil dead to help endourse it. it's called "Within The Wilderness also starring Bruce Campbell." And i just checked and found out that ED 2 was a retcon sequel. So eh, sort of a remake i guess.
