This is a great performance. I love all of Feinberg's work, especially his piano concerti and sonatas, but wouldn't it have been nice if he actually wrote at least some music similar to this? His piano writing is perfect for this type of romanticism, proof being this arrangement!

Peter, I do not doubt you know what you are talking about. My point is that this masterpiece could perfectly be played regardless to its origin.Perhaps this speed is normal for an orchestra to play it hence Sofiya is playing piano "at orchestral speed", perhaps its is a rehearsal and she is going to play a little slower at concert. If she comes for Barcelona in concert tour I would know the answer. Who knows today.

Uaou!!! First at all: I like the viewpoint.I do not know why people almost always record themselves like playing at concert.I love your video cause I can see your hands moving.I'll watch this video several times.Sure I can learn many things from your technique.

People tend to judge what they hear by comparison with the original for orchestra.I like reductions of orchestral pieces to piano.If I could play this one I would forget its origins and I would play it like it had been written for piano.
