How often are you able to get the double red to slagstorm turn 3?

@MtgTitan theres no real reason why i would slagstorm turn 3, no deck is going to have anything really big built up, slagstorm is a turn 4-5 board wiper whenever the opponent throws down more creatures, it would be stupid to waste it on one creatures turn 3

@AjemanCinnajob My meta has alot of U/W humans so sometimes there turn 3 can be crazy, turn 1 chapion turn two double doomed traveler turn three crusader. or just a geist by himself is worthy of a slagstorm.

@MtgTitan realistically that doesnt happen often, my meta has UW humans and delver decks as well and i dont really have problems with them

@AjemanCinnajob no that doesnt happen often at all, but a turn three geist can. I was just wondering, bc I am running Conleys deck with some changes to the sideboard.

@MtgTitan conley's deck was good, but honestly this deck answers alot more problems than his does, ive played with his deck competitively and while it is good, it could have been better, thats why i decided to make jund control

@AjemanCinnajob yeah i agree ive played it once at an FNM and made top 8. I played jund control and like the variety of it, mainly bc it answers mirran crusader. I also splashed white for elesh norn.

@MtgTitan although elesh norn is a good card, i wouldnt jeopardize the deck by running 4 colors

@AjemanCinnajob It actually ran really well, between the sphere rampant and solemn being able to produce two white sources by turn 5-7 wasnt hard, and against aggro decks and was a huge game changer bc they dont expect it so dont have a plan for it.

You should consider running whipflare instead of slagstorm. mana is easier, and 3 in the back doesn't show up all too often.

@Skeetonmypete its a nice idea but ive already tested with it, but it doesnt get rid of fiend hunters or mirran crusaders whenever a honor hits the board, believe me ive worked this deck out to where its optimal in the way it works

i think id much rather have tribute to hunger than geth's verdict in a three-color deck

@Tdop3guy whenever you actually play up against a aggro matchup, theyll get more creatures in the turn of difference in 1 mana, so tribute is useless there because theyll sac a abolisher or a champion before they sac their mirran crusader. Also, theres 16 mana fixers in the deck, and 15 black sources, not very hard to get double black when you need it. playing it one turn earlier makes all the difference

how well does this deal with tempered steel if its in your meta?

@didimau108 tempered steel isnt in my meta because it loses to almost all decks in tier 1, and this deck is made to deal with all the decks in tier 1 so theres no real problem with tempered steel at all haha

@ZackeroniAndCheese no ones meta is the same really, my sideboard is: 1x Grave titan, 1x Batterskull, 2x Thrun, the last Troll, 2x Liliana of the Veil, 1x Go for the Throat, 1x Tree of Redemption, 2x Naturalize, 3x Autumn's Veil, 2x Nihil Spellbomb
