The car in this video is a SOHC neon which even further takes it away from being anything mitsu. A neon never came with a 420a. In all fact the 420a is the "copy cat". Just do a simple google search

i've seen DOHC's dynoed at 132 from the factory. and SOHC's dynoed at around what you said 110-115. also I've seen a stock DOHC only cam gears put on to correct the timing that the factory had on there, no tuning just fixed the timing so it's more precise gain about 15-25 hp at the wheels. so i could take my stock DOHC and make at least 150 to the wheels with just cam gears, good plugs, and new air filter and new oil.

you have never seen a stock dohc neon dynoed at 132. they are just not that strong. dodge over rated them from factory. dont get me wrong they run good for what they are. The mechanical timing has nothing to do how good it will run. Alll you would be doing by adjusting it is changing your torque curve not hp. To get 150 out of a dohc you would need cams and head work

not to the crank. at the crank it will easily make 150. and plenty of companies have even recomended that you fix the timing on DOHC neons. SOHC neons pretty much wouldn't function if their timing was off even a little. and DOHC neons will bend valves if their timing is off by about 3 teeth. but I know that if you fix the timing problem from the factory you'll get more power

@rebeldriver I would like to let u know that i have had 7 neons and an srt4. the dual cam does make over 130 at the wheels stock. mine had 230000 on it and i did a full tune up and it is completely stock. made 137 at the wheels. i also have a 97 sport 4-dr with boost and megasquirt and i made 350 at the wheels. every car is fucking different so when some1 gets lucky with their car u cant get ur panties in bunch. i got lucky with my stock srt4 with a agp wastegate. i made more power than stage 2

@rebeldriver If you want to gain a little hp and tork with the neon convert it to run on E85. with the right tune it will help some. but neon is not my first choice to tune. but i can't say much because I drive a 2006 Kia Spectra. Kia makes a grate cheep car but it definitely not the fastest. I would love to convert an Subaru WRX STI to run on Ethanol, because Ethanol is a high octane fuel. but with this economy i am sticking with my Kia.

I am pretty sure that 4.7 durango is under that. the only thing i can agree with you on is it does get worse gas millage. further more Ethanol is alcohol. their is no difference. Ethanol is 200 proof moonshine. C2H5OH is the chemical formula for Ethanol I have made some before. and have been studying this topic for years. I am very confident in it's ability to make more power than gas. it has less BTU, but can make more HP

@mj20042 It does have a lower energy content than gasoline that is why you have to use more fuel. but because of ethanol's cooling ability you can run more fuel without running into trouble. i get more power and worse fuel efficiency. but i don't mind the trade off. check out some E85 dino sheets on line. i think their is some on the COBB tuning forums. If you find one car that was tuned properly for E85 and lost power let me no. I have yet to find a properly tuned car loose power from E85.
