I have no right to judge- but I think the relationship between the three was quite peculiar- but obviously, their love was strong: which is beautiful.
just seen this in the uk and for a cynic like me i found it a really interesting documentary. i'd never heard of them but have heard of ziegfried and roy. however for him to say ziegfried was too feminine for him after bragging about his sex life with joy (a refused entry nun!!! - in the sound of music she didnt go on 2 have 7 kids as they were there already!!!). however it was a sad story but was it meant to leave u like a whodunnit? sad sad
We are all different in this world and should be appreciated for who where are. My heart goes out to Ron and the fact he is still teaching shows he is a survivor a basic human need in the face of such adversity. Good luck Ron with your dream to retire to the place you will find peace and healing x

In both deaths Ron was holding the tiger on a leash, BOTH times. And as far as the tiger being 'inbred'--they knew its litter mates for god's sake. All domestically bred large cats are inbred. That's a meaningless statement. What dream? Nightmare.

I am astounded that there wasn't an indictment. The woman was drunk and he took her to see the "babies"? How anyone can consider Ron Holliday as some kind of hero is remarkable. He was a self-absorbed, creepy guy who was responsible for the tiger [holding the leash] BOTH times the cat killed. Didn't the young guy 'trip' on construction mess--er,maybe he was drunk too. Murder!
I have to laugh when people try to integrate domesticated wild animals into these asinine Vegas-style shows and an animal bites or mauls someone. When are people going to stop trying to exploit animals for each other's amusement?
This was as fascinating as GREY GARDENS. Tragic, at times darkly comic. A fantastic documentary which would make an incredible drama.
