  • how come all of these old computer incompetents get this for free

  • Assembled in Ireland :) Nowadays most PCs are either made in China or India or Mexico.

  • A thing of beauty! I like the design!

  • my first pc... i love it ^^

  • The telephone thing I would have to say would be a way to connect to the Internet. Maybe. I remember when we used to have dial up it went through a telephone cord and into a telephone jack if I remeber right. Idk, we had TigerPaw dial up.

  • the port that you didnt know is color moniter

  • Hehe. Nothing like 1980's equipment!

  • what operating system is this mac running?

    good video btw

  • @chancethehippie Its not a mac, its an Apple Computer. Shortly after the release of the //c the Macintosh was released with System 1. The //c probably had a beta version or the guy installed it.

  • I got my Apple 2c for free too! Around 13 or so years ago. Someone was throwing it away, my dad saw it during a lunch break, and the people who had it were glad to see it going to a good home.

  • floppy is 5 1/4 inch indeed,

    yay for first ever laptop(lol)

  • @AerialMage Hello, I'm Mr pedantic, and I'd like to note (despite your comment being a joke) that the first laptop was the Epson HX-20, which really was quite portable.

  • I created a Wikipedia article on the Apple IIc, mostly for persons like yourself who picked one up and just learning about it. Just type "Apple IIc" on Google; click on the first link.

If your particular IIc is a newer model (ROM 0 or higher), it has a built-in self test you can run by simultaneously pressing Solid-Apple, Open-Apple, Control, Reset.

The GUI shown is Apple II Desktop (nee MouseDesk). It's an 8-bit program that is similar to the early Mac and Apple IIGS Finder, but less powerful

  • Beatiful!!!!!

  • 1:57 how is the apple IIc running GUI? i thought the only apple II computer that could run GUI was the apple IIgs

  • teachers loved the 2c, very small and portable for its time thus it could be carried to classes, notice you even have the small screen, pretty much the complete rig

  • Nice find! VERY CLEAN!! You probably know this, but the Handle can be flipped down so its a bit of a stand for the IIc to angle it under the monitor.

  • yes mac´s are very very especial.

  • i LOVE this song! it's the same song in the everybody hates finale!

  • how did you get that for free? (i got a macintosh se for free but the screen's broken everything else works)

  • nice find!

  • Noobs

  • @ashthepokemonmaster it's not a mac it's an apple ii. Macs were introduced in 84

  • well, can get good pc's for free. But macs cost alot!

  • cool i have never ever owned a mac but i want to get one of thoughs old mac books the ones that run OS 9 or somthing

  • yeah you'll probably like mac.

  • i do like MAC but i like PC better...

    whats you favorite OS?

  • @psivewri most pc users don't. :D I'm a pc user... and macs are WAY too slow. im using a amd cpu from 2009?

  • @iToasterman probably because u used an old mac. how many times has your pc frozen up and died lately!!!!!

  • @taylikesmoney never. im dual booting joli os and windows 7 on a netbook. im in joli os right now

  • @ashthepokemonmaster i have one that a friend gave me. still has the original manual and cd's. in a box because i can't plug an ethernet into it to update any of it's software. i'll find a use for it someday!
