While they didn't always Play Doom, they most certainly were the first to do it. The more current bands I mentioned in my first comment are true Sabbath worshippers who have dialed in on the slowest, most crushing of Iommi riffs and made that sound their whole world and did a punishing job of it. "Epic', "Stoner" and other Doom sub-genres are mostly too boring and ......
