Ghost band??? Nope. To be fair, Prairie Prince gets a lot of work with other bands, and they use a sub when he's working elsewhere. Also, last year, they happened to have a substitute bass player when I saw them. Otherwise all the band are original members except for their keyboard player, who replaced the now late Vince Welnick about 20 years ago when he joined the Grateful Dead.
I know this isn't the best video or audio quality but I can hear Fee's voice, and he still sounds fantastic. My favorite from this talented group! Thanks for uploading.
why do people think they have to spam live videos of anyting in a f..... up quality ? is that a new thing ? everybody loves instead of me ? i m gettin old ^^
I saw those guys in the Pier in New York City and they rooooocccckkkkkk!!!!!! it was the firs timethat I ever saw a lead guitarist playing a solo with a miller beer on its right hand....of course he screw the whole guitar solo....but its was great any way....goood for you guys
I was just wondering the same thing. I had watched the original several weeks ago, thinking it would always be on Youtube, and now....poof! Into thin air.
I saw them in Akron a couple months ago. Their sound was terrible and afterward during their meet and greet, Fee was an asshole. I don't know, if you've been around for almost 30 years or more and you're only playing 5000 seat venues, that is not the time for egos and attitudes. Treat your fans with respect, maybe you'll get 6000 next time.
To their credit though, the rest of the band was cool.
huey lewis band sings " DOCTOR DOCTOR i need a new DRUG, well i sure do if i was to see them " LIVE " also is there video live or is is memorex.. they must be trippin on something .... they are dust in the WIND for sure...
I recall seeing and hearing the Tubes for the first time on SCTV with John Candy in a skit where I think he was the host of some sort of show. They were very a very powerful band.
What a blast from the past ... back to when I was a teenager! And he sounds as good now as he did back then, which is very unusual of the 70s and 80s bands; most lead singers now sound all washed up (example: Look up Air Supply's most recent performance of "Making Love out of Nothing at All"! The dude's got nothing left!
Who is playing drums in this vid?

@shoemakerb1
And I should point out, they're a five piece band reproducing the sound of records made when they had 7-8 pieces, and they do an amazing job!

@rickydo22 Steve never gets the credit he deserves for his writing, and the Tubes never get credit for their musicianship

I saw them at the Orange County Fair last year and they did this one; they were just powerful and fantastic. Sounded like they wrote it last week.
He's a great vocalist as well, and with a great sense of humor.

Hmmm,
You're probably making everyone else here feel pretty old right now, since the tubes were pretty big in the 1970's :-)
True, this song was released in 1983, but the tubes were around long before this single...
